เมืองจำปานคร (Champa Nakorn City) Khattanakumarn reached Champa Nakorn City. He
went to live with “Cha Suan” an old woman in the

กินทุกวนั เปนจำนวน 511 คน จนกระท่งั นกั โทษหมดเมือง
พระองคจึงคดิ ที่จะสละชีวิตแตธิดาคอื นางสดี ารองขอไปตาย
แทนบดิ าเอง ขณะนัน้ มกี ารจดั ขบวนแหนางสีดาไปยงั
ปราสาทรา งท่สี รางใหย กั ษ
One time, the ruler of Champa Nakorn and his general went hunting for a golden deer. The
giant then transformed into one to lure them into the forest until they got lost. The ruler who
was taken by the giant asked for his life, in exchange he promised to send death row
prisoners for her to eat every day along with a castle for her to live in. The giant agreed and
let him go. The ruler told this story to his council. He manages to do as promised by sending
death row prisoners day after day until the number reached 511 people sent. As the city was
out of a prisoner, he thought of sacrificing his own life. But his daughter Srida asked to go in
his place. To this extent, they parade Srida to the abandoned castle given to the giant.

นางสีดาจนรงุ เชา จึงลากลบั ไป นางสีดาจงึ ขอส่งิ ของแทนตา งหนา คัทธนกุมารก็ฉีกผาคา แสนคำทีท่ รงอยูมอบให
นางสีดาแทนคำสญั ญาวา จะกลับมาแตง งานดวย สว นนางมอบแหวนใหแ กทาวคทั ธนกุมารแทน

Khattanakumarn heard from the old woman about the reason
Srida sacrificing her life to the giant, he felt pity and wish to
help. At night he sneaked into the giant castle. He smashed
all the pots, basin, jar, and container then move in to live
inside with Srida. When the giant saw her smashed contain-
er, she became furious and tries to eat both of them.
Khattanakumarn defeated the giant and preached till she
realizes her sin. She was ashamed so she committed by
hitting her head to the ground to her death. Khattanakumarn
stayed with Srida until the morning. When he is going to
leave Srida asked him for a keepsake. Khattanakumarn
tore his Khasaenkham Cloth, gave it to Srida as a
promise that he would return to marry her. In
return, Srida gave Khattanakumarn a ring.
