Group Training Sessions
at Measurable Solutions!
Once the Owner, Vice-President of Administration, Vice-President of
Operations and Vice-President of Public Relations have been fully trained,
you’ll want to have the majority of your staff trained on basic administrative
courses so that everyone has the same understanding of what the owner is
trying to accomplish.
Training courses are ways of improving the effectiveness of your current
workforce, but they are also attractive benefits for ambitious people.
Training isn't just important to any clinic, it is vital!
Although there are many training courses available at Measurable Solutions,
there are benefits to be realized from virtually any group of courses a clinic
undertakes. Each section of our Chart of Practice Success is designed so that
it can be done as group training.
Some examples of group training are:
New Patient Course
Patient Compliance Course
Patient Referral Course
Overcoming the Stress of Work and Life Course
Road to Prosperity 1
Road to Prosperity 2
Road to Prosperity 3
Applied Communication Course
Advanced Communication Course
How to Get Things Done Course
Logics 1
Logics 2
Logics 3
When you trained your Vice-Presidents we always asked you to send two at
a time so that they can twin together and help each other through the
courses. This also allowed them to come up with expansion strategies to be
implemented on their return. Having staff twinned up is invaluable so we
recommend 2,4,6,8,10,12,14 and our recent group training contained 16
staff and owners. We’ve had as many as 48 attend a group training session.
The benefits both your clinics and employees will realize include:
• Improved productivity and adherence to quality standards.
• Employees develop skill sets that allow them to undertake a greater
variety of work.
• Improved ability to implement and realize specific goals outlined in a
company's strategic plan.
• Increased ability to respond effectively to change.
• Willingness to refer other professionals for employment.
Productivity increases when a company implements
group training courses.
Training across the workforce, from the technical/administrative staff to
executive level and in any discipline, improves:
• Competitiveness
• Morale
• Profitability
• Patient satisfaction resulting in referrals
• Expansion resulting in more new patients
• Company reputation and the ability to attract top prospects for
employment
• Acquisition of more clinics.
It can also lead to reductions in:
• Inefficient use of time and materials
• Maintenance costs of equipment
• Staff turnover and absenteeism
• Recruitment expenses
Training also makes a company more attractive to potential new recruits
who seek to improve their skills and the opportunities associated with those
new skills.
The lack of a training strategy to a potential top candidate suggests that the
company will fail to meet his or her own aspirations, leading to a lack of
ambitious candidates.
A training strategy involves the systematic training and improvement of
people within the organization so that they, and the company, can achieve
their objectives, both personal and corporate goals.
When you last wrote up your strategic plan you should have included an
action plan for the training strategy and once that has been completed,
focusing on the training goals.
It is only by doing this that the owner will be able to realize the benefits of
the money he has spent, delivering training to staff.
Communicating your training opportunities:
Having a strong and successful training strategy helps to develop your
employer brand and make your company a prime consideration for
graduates and mid-career changes.
Your commitment to training will obviously be transmitted to the career
marketplace, including job seekers and recruitment professionals, by means
of word of mouth and positive feedback by current and past employees.
Increasingly, your clinics will be recognized by recruitment professionals who
seek to place ambitious candidates within your organization partly on the
strength of your company's reputation (employer brand) - and the strength
and quality of your training.
You company reputation for training will also be built through those
educational establishments which advise and guide promising talent towards
the job market.
All the above is why you should train and train your staff!
