What is Worksheet and Project work?

As the children learn through the activities done by themselves, they need
a proper guideline. So, Worksheet-Project work is an exercise book where
children recognize the letters, pictures and words by practicing. This project
helps the children in their eye, hand and mind co-ordination power which
further guides them in their long-term memory.

Why Worksheets?

1. To give specific concept on different themes

2. To develop children's eye, hand and mind co-ordination power through
creativity

3. To help the children in triple-grip development

4. To make use of local materials or even waste materials

5. To learn the concept of letters, words and the objects

6. To help the children in memorizing, reading and writing skills

7. To diversify the traditional way of monotonous bookish learning into a
creative process

How to use Worksheet?

It can be used in three principles (See, Judge and Act)

i. See Part: Children recognize the pictures, letters and words according to
the theme.

ii. Judge Part: Teacher must help the children learn more about the pictures,
letters and words, So, he/she must explain the topic with the help of
real objects. Teacher must discuss the object and then let the children
interact.

iii. Action Part: Teacher need to guide the children in their creativity
project. Let the children use local materials as far as possible. Encourage
the children by giving new and innovative ideas so that they can explore
their creativity.

Note: (Colour crayons would be the last option in case of unavailability of
materials.)

(It would be easier if teachers followed simple to complex concepts.
For that go along with the given themes.)

When/ Where Worksheet?
Ɣ It would be effective if Worksheet is used thematically or as subject
matter.
Ɣ Pin-out the pages as per the page numbers in the theme (eg: shapes and
colour (1-8)
Ɣ Let the children explore their creativity. Help them with the needed
materials.
Ɣ It can be assigned as home-work so that parents can guide them for it.
Ɣ It can be assigned as a project work in the children's vacation/holiday.
