REFLECT
Out of all the museums, I visited the Art Institute of Chicago
in Chicago, Illinois. It is home to more than 300,000 pieces of
artwork, including some of the world's masterpieces. Overall, I
enjoyed my visit there since I saw a lot of creative works with
significant and deep meaning. I saw various cultural, historical, and
artistic artworks providing information and visual explorations that
helped me connect with them. My impression is I thought that I
would not enjoy my virtual visit since I was not knowledgeable
enough in art. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it and gained crucial
knowledge.
My favorite part of my overall visit was the scavenger hunt
since I had fun finding the required artwork needed. Moreover, my
favorite painting was A Sunday on La Grande Jatte by Georges
Seurat. It was very calming and peaceful just looking at it. That is
why I chose it to be one of the paintings I would like to be in.
I discovered the various artists behind the artworks I frequently
see on social media. Moreover, it has sizable holdings of sculpture
and painting from the 20th century as well as works of French art
from the 19th.
