TRENDS of

2016

1 HARAMBEEven though the incident with Harambe was a
serious one, Twitter was quick to turn the gorilla
into a meme. People started the hashtag
#JusticeForHarambe, wanting to show their
disapproval at the zoo’s decision to kill the
gorilla.

EVIL KERMIT MEMES 2

The good kermit / evil kermit meme came around
in November of 2016. The image is from the 2014
movie “Muppets Most Wanted”. The hooded figure

in the meme is actually Kermit the Frog’s evil
Russian doppelganger.

3 THE BEE MOVIEThis unstoppable force of Twitter memes and
edited movie clips comes from an animated movie that
was created in 2007 and features Jerry Seinfield and
Renee Zellweger. This movie may be rated as a 51% on
Rotton Tomatoes, but the social media flurry that came
from this movie is a solid 100% on our mark.

“DAMN, DANIEL” 4

Starting off as a Snapchat featuring the
aforementioned wearing his white Vans , it soon

grew into a series of snaps showing the
fashionable Daniel wearing his signature footwear.
The duo, consisting of Josh and Daniel, appeared

on Ellen in February.
