MASONITE GLASS

More Light. More Comfort.
Less Energy.

As the leader in both innovation and trend,
Masonite has invested in new state-of-the-art
automated high-speed warm–edge spacer
assembly lines that put Masonite Glass at the
forefront of the door lite industry.

Warm-edge flexible spacers have been shown
to have up to nine times the life expectancy of
traditional metal insulating glass systems available
on the market today. They expand and contract
and always return to their original shape, protecting
against stress cracks that can lead to seal failure.

1.  U-Factor: Measures the rate of heat transfer through a product. It considers all elements of an assembly
including conductivity, air flow and glass emissivity. A lower U-Factor indicates a better–insulating product.

2. S HGC (Solar Heat Gain Coefficient): Measures the amount of energy that passes through glass
from the sun, creating additional heat. The lower the SHGC, the better it blocks solar heat.

Limited Warranty

EXTERIOR PREFINISH WARRANTY

Bridgewater Wholesalers, Inc.® (BWI®) warrants to the original consumer-purchaser only of exterior prefinished fiberglass doors and
prefinished interior doors that the finish will not wear through for ten (10) years from date of purchase under normal residential use and
conditions, provided that the door was installed, maintained and used properly, that the door remains installed at its original location and
that there is full compliance with the provisions below. The only remedy for a defective door under this Limited Warranty is, at our option,
to repair or replace such door or return the original purchase price of the defective door. If BWI elects to provide a replacement, the Limited
Warranty will extend only for the remaining balance of the original warranty period.

ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Any door to be determined to be defective under this Limited Warranty must be found to be in breach of AAMA-613 testing criteria.
2. This Limited Warranty does NOT extend to deterioration of finish caused by fire, vandalism, radiation, flood damage, corrosive fumes,

animal wastes, salts, scratches, reasonable wear and tear, color changes due to exposure to direct sunlight, unusual environmental
conditions or excessive physical abuse.
3. Steel doors (interior or exterior) are NOT included in this warranty statement.
4. This Limited Warranty does NOT cover any surface condition such as but not limited to a bubble, blemish or indentation due to the
condition of the substrate of an exterior door.
5. The use of any storm door in connection with a prefinished door voids this Limited Warranty.
6. Any modification or alteration to the original finish completed by anyone other than Bridgewater Wholesalers, Inc.® voids this Limited
Warranty.
7. All doors must be installed in accordance with factory installation instructions and all exterior doors must have a soffit overhang in order
to protect the door from direct sunlight exposure and wind driven precipitation.
8. Clear coat application must be maintained every 2 years.

THIS WARRANTY SHALL BE VOID AND DOES NOT COVER the following conditions:
1. D eterioration of finish or the door caused by fire, vandalism, radiation, flood damage, corrosive fumes, animal waste, salts, scratches, harsh

cleaning chemical, color changes due to direct exposure to sunlight, abnormal environmental conditions or excessive physical abuse.
2. Any door that is not installed below an overhang or otherwise protected from direct sunlight and wind-driven precipitation.
3. Installation of a storm door.
4. Improper maintenance. Respecting any exterior textured door that is stained, the door requires an annual application of water-based clear

coat by the end user.
5. Steel doors (interior or exterior) are not covered by this Warranty.
6. Wood frame components are not covered by this Warranty.
7. Any modification or alteration of the door made by anyone other than BWI Fine Finish or approved by BWI Finish writing.
8. Any door that is visible defective at time of installation. DO NOT INSTALL A DEFECTIVE DOOR. INSTALLATION OF A DEFECTIVE DOOR

WAIVES DEFECTS.

THESE WARRANTIES ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE. THESE WARRANTIES MAY NOT BE ALTERED BY ANY DEALER, INSTALLER, AGENT

OR DISTRIBUTOR, OR ANYONE ELSE. DO NOT INSTALL DEFECTIVE DOORS. THE INSTALLER AND HOMEOWNER ARE RESPONSIBLE

TO INSPECT THE DOOR PRIOR TO INSTALLATION. DEFECTS DISCOVERABLE PRIOR TO INSTALLATION SHALL BE CONCLUSIVELY

DEEMED TO BE WAIVED AFTER INSTALLATION.DISCLAIMERS [READ THESE CAREFULLY]: THE FOREGOING IS THE COMPLETE

warranties, so such exclusions or limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other
rights that vary from state to state.

REQUIRED DOOR OVERHANG: 55
110 0
All exterior doors should be protected by an overhang. The
recommended size is ½ the distance from the base of the door to
the bottom of the overhang. As an example, a distance of 10' for this
dimension would require an overhang of 5' minimum. For wetter
climates, southern or western exposure and for double doors,
the overhang should be the same as the distance from the base
of the door to the bottom of the overhang. In this same example
the dimension is 10' so the overhang should be 10'. See diagram.
