&In 1798 this firm was established as John Bell Co., and its business record

has been unbroken right down to the present time.
One hundred and twenty years is no mean period of time in the history

of a firm, and although business premises have been superseded by others,

larger and better equipped, and men and methods have changed, our ideals
remain in 1918 what they were in 1798.

The twin pillars of the house are Progress and Service, and they rest on
the bed rock of Quality.

Although hampered by difficulties and restrictions due to the war, we are

endeavouring to-day, as in pre-war times, to shape and guide our policy and
methods by these three factors and all they imply.

Our interests are yours, our business future is bound up with yours. Our
founder, John Bell, and after him Jacob Bell, whose name is still a household
word with pharmacists, believed strongly in the potentialities of Pharmacy.

So do we.
To develop such along new and progressive lines, at the same time holding

—fast to all that has been found of real service in the past this is our aim and

purpose.
