Harder to get variation. Light scuff marks and wear. Small chip above trademark - shallow and small, approx 0.4cm. Small chip to base edge - shallow and small, at rear approx. 0.5cm. A few scattered, very minor, impact marks. A hard one to get. Very Good 50 75 2 Crown Seal - W. Watkins Boulder City W.A. 5oz, "Clover Leaf" T/M. Professionally polished with a couple of minor marks remaining. A lovely pictorial. Polished/ Good 50 75 3 Crown Seal - Tooth & Co. Sydney 5oz, Cylinder, "Invicta" T/M. Faint fracture to rear of bottle traveling from shoulder to base: very hard to detect, and I suspect it occurred due to manufacture. Displays perfectly. Fair 20 30 4 Crown Seal - Darwin Aerated Water Co. Darwin 5oz, Kangaroo T/M. Small chip/slice to lip, approx 1cm. Internal stain/cloudiness. NT Bottles are always hard to come by. Good 20 30 5 Crown Seal - Oertel's Sydney 5oz, skittle, "Whale" T/M. A few scattered light scratches and very minor marks. Has a lovely aqua colour to it and reasonably strong embossing. No need for polishing on this one in my opinion. It's got everything: Pictorial, different shape and a little colour, a really good item. Very Good 50 75 6 Crown Seal - Denham's Rockhampton 5oz, "Sun Sweet" T/M. Hard to fault. Some light internal stain and very minor surface scratches. Harder to get size variation with a decorative ripple effect behind the T/M. Near Mint 40 60 7 Crown Seal - E. Rowlands 5oz, Cylinder. Hard to fault. A few minor manufacturing marks to the rear. A superb bottle with colour and shape variation. Near Mint 20 30 8 Crown Seal - Harrup Bros. Central Queensland 5oz, "The Drink Specialist". Tiny fracture to the rear of bottle where the top meets the neck, approx.0.5cm. Some light wear and minor marks. Has lovely aqua tone which is harder to get than the usual clear varitey. Very Good 25 50 9 Crown Seal - James Bros. Manly 10oz, Amethyst, Monogram T/M. Impact mark/fisheye to rear of bottle, approx 1.5cm, not unusual for this bottle. Surface wear and minor scratches. A stand out item, featuring a darker than average colour and strong embossing. You soon forget about the blemishes. Good 80 120 10 Crown Seal - R.H. Stewart Warialda 10oz, Light Amethyst. Light internal stain and very minor surface scratches. Harder to get in this colour. Very Good 50 75 11 Crown Seal - Orbell's Dubbo 10oz, Light Amethyst, Orbell's (to rear). Very light internal stain and dirt, very light wear. Hard to fault, in truly great condition. If you need an upgrade, then this is the one. Very Good 40 60 12 Crown Seal - Marchants Australia 10oz, Dark Aqua, "Wagon Wheel" T/M. Very minor surface wear and scratches. A few scattered pit marks. Slight wonky bottle from manufacture, causing bottle to rock a little. A crudely made bottle with plenty of character. Good 25 50 13 Crown Seal - S. Faulkner 10oz, Pink/Amethyst. Fracture to lip running down neck, approx. 2cm. Unusual ring of wear, halfway down the inside of neck, hard to determine how it occurred. Presents very well. Hard to get in this colour. Fair 30 60 14 Crown Seal - Albert Castres Charters Towers 10oz, Turning Amethyst. Shallow lip chip, approx. 1cm. Moderate internal staining. Minor wear and scattered impact marks. Needs to sit in the sun for a bit to see what colour might appear. Fair 20 30 15 Crown Seal - Thos McVeigh Young 10oz, Amethyst. Medium amount of internal cloudiness and rust stains. A couple of scratches and impact marks. A terrific colour that only needs a good clean. Very Good 40 60 16 Crown Seal - Ireland Bros. Toogoolawah 10oz. Lip is quite worn and includes a series of very small chip/flea bites. Bottle is slightly worn. A harder to get bottle from a small QLD town. Good 40 60 17 Crown Seal - Monto Agencies Monto 10oz. Light internal staining and very minor wear. Bottle has bold embossing and no structural flaws. Not seen often. Again, another hard to get bottle from a small QLD town. Very Good 40 60 18 Crown Seal - Sawtell's Kingaroy 10oz, "S" T/M. A few spots of internal staining and minor marks. An impressive bottle with plenty of embossing. Good 20 40 19 Crown Seal - P. Feeney Roma 10oz, "PF" T/M. Internal and external staining, not unusual for English made crown seals. Moderate spot of surface wear over the 'N' in Feeney. Scattered scratches and pitting. Harder to get crowny from Roma. Fair 60 80 20 Crown Seal - Sawtell's Maryborough 10oz, "S" T/M. A few spots of internal staining and minor marks. Small burst air bubble to base edge, approx. 1cm. A desirable aqua made variety. Very Good 40 60 21 Crown Seal - Hanush's Cordials Cairns 10oz. Tiny impact to lip, too small to measure. Light wear and scratches. A really nice example. Very Good 30 60 22 Crown Seal - T.W. Bowman Kilcoy 10oz. Very lightly polished with a minor scratch and wear remaining. Small slice/chip to collar of top, approx 1cm. Hard to detect. Very hard to come by. Polished/ Good 50 75 23 Crown Seal - J.D. Butt Cloncurry 10oz, Green, "Rifleman" T/M. Chip to rear lip, approx. 2cm. Very light wear. This bottle displays perfectly from the front and has only one unfortunate blemish. A worthwhile addition to the shelf, until a better one comes along. Damaged 100 150 24 Crown Seal - Nettle & Nettle Kalgoorlie 10oz, Amber, "Crown" T/M. Minor marks. An impressive colour with an awesome T/M. Near Mint 100 150 25 Crown Seal - Moore Newcastle 26oz, "Lion" T/M, high shoulder variety. Light wear with light internal dirt & staining. An impressive bottle that is hard to fault. Near Mint 80 120 26 Crown Seal - W.H. Henson Grafton 26oz, Amber, "Monogram" T/M, high shoulder variety. Light wear to embossing and a few scattered scratches and marks. A great coloured bottle with loads of embossing. Very Good 40 60 27 Crown Seal - Davis Mayfield Orange 26oz, "Heart" T/M, high shoulder variety. Very light wear and light internal dirt & staining. Good 100 150 51 Bitters - New York Hop Bitters Company H) 24.5cm, "American Flag" T/M. Hard to fault. Still containing dirt from when it was dug. This bottle is in amazing condition. Near Mint 75 100 52 Bitters - Doyles Hop Bitters 1872 H) 24cm, Amber, "Hop Leaves" T/M. I can't fault it. A beautiful lighter coloured bottle with strong embossing. Made in the exact image of a Dr Soules but with different names to the shoulder. Hard to come by. Near Mint 75 100 53 Sarsaparilla - Dr. Townsend's Sarsaparilla H) 24.5cm, Emerald Green. Light internal staining. This early coloured bottle is a real treasure. It would be like finding gold if you dug one. Near Mint 60 80 54 Bitters - Dr. Bell's Liver & Kidney Bitters H) 23.5cm. Light internal staining. Tiny impact to lip (flea bite size). A very clean example. Very Good 30 40 55 Bitters - Hartwig Kantorowicz Posen Hamburg Paris H) 23.5cm, Milk Glass. Chip to internal lip, approx. 1.5cm. Medium amount of internal stain and dirt. A little bottle with loads of embossing. Hard to get in this size. Needs a good clean. Good 200 250 60 Maugham - Crystal Fountain Sydney Half Size, 18cm. Professionally polished with strong embossing and minor pitting. Unusual manufacturing flaw in top. Moderate staining with dirt and cloudinesss. Embossing has been outlined with a black marker pen and a sticker has been added with '1895' on it. Bottle is slightly out of shape which can be seen in the photo. Most likely this is due to manufacture or having been in a fire. This bottle would come up a treat with a proper clean. Harder one to get. Good 50 75 72 Maugham x2 - B.C.Co.LTD Broken Hill & F. Humphris Jamestown Both Full Size, 28cm. Both have moderate staining and moderate wear. Some minor marks. Both have good embossing with the B.C.Co being slightly better. Both bottle have no major faults. A lovely pair. Good 50 75 73 Lamont - John H. Hooper Ipswich 5oz, Unicorn T/M. Stain and minor wear. A few very minor chips to collar of applied top, common for these early bottles. Would polish well. An extremely rare variation that you don't see often. Bit of a unicorn really. Good 300 400 74 Lamont - Summons & Blackman (Sydney) 5oz. 'Vallet's Patent Liverpool' to rear. Professionally polished with light pitting and wear still remaining. An early patent that presents very well. Hard to get. Polished/ Good 200 300 75 Lamont - Spalding & Co. Sydney 5oz. "Lion Holding Banner" T/M. Professionally polished with only a few minor wear marks remaining. Lip has one minor chip, approx. 1cm and an impact fracture approx. 1.5cm. Bottle has amazing air bubbles and a gorgeous aqua colour. A rare bottle from a company that was only in operation for a short time. Poilished/Fair 300 400 76 Lamont - Booval Aerated Waters Lavoob 5oz. Impact fracture to lip, approx. 1.5cm to rear of bottle. Very light wear and marks. A very hard bottle to get. Fair 200 300 77 Lamont - James Parkinson Wollongong 5oz, "JP" T/M. Tiny lip fracture, approx.0.5 cm. Tiny impact to rear, approx. 0.5cm. A few very minor pit marks. Overall this is a fabulous example and not seen often. Near Mint 150 200 78 Lamont - W. Sloman Manning River 5oz, "Star" T/M. Minor wear. One tiny graze to lip, too small to measure. Needs a good clean. Scarce. Very Good 100 150 79 Lamont - W.G. Livermore Ipswich 5oz, "Barrels" T/M. Moderate wear and staining. Bottle has good embossing. A much harder to get variation than the Ipswich Aerated Water with the same logo. Very desirable. Good 150 250 80 Lamont - Howell & Lough Charters Towers 13oz, "Miner" T/M. Chip to rear lip, approx. 1cm. Light staining and marks. A rare, pictorial North Queensland Lamont. Another one won't come by any time soon. Fair 400 500 81 Lamont - W.G. Livermore Ipswich 13oz, "Barrels" T/M. Three very minor flakes/chips to lip, largest being just under 1cm. Minor chipping to collar of top. Very minor wear. Overall the bottle displays well and only closer inspection reveals these faults. Once again a 'harder to get' variation than the Ipswich Aerated water with the same logo. Certainly harder to find than toilet paper in a Covid lockdown. Good 250 300 82 Lamont - Ipswich Aerated Water Co. 13oz, "Barrels" T/M. Few minor scuff marks and wear. Very minor marks. In outstanding condiiton. You don't get 'em like this often. Near Mint 150 200 83 Lamont - Jones Lincoln & Co. Brewers (8 Cities) 13oz, "JL&Co" T/M. A few minor marks and pitting. May have been very lightly polished, but if it has, it is a magnificent job. Spot of internal staining to shoulder. A truly excellent example. Very Good 100 150 84 Lamont - W. Bruce & Sons Bendigo 13oz, Cannington Shaw & Co. manufacture with ribbon decoration. Minor crate wear and minor marks. Harder example to get. Very Good 60 80 85 Lamont - W. Bruce & Sons Bendigo 13oz, Melbourne Glass Bottle Co. made bottle. 1cm section of lip made up of a serious of tiny chips. Light wear and stain. Very decorative design. Near Mint 300 400 88 Codd - Claremont Mineral Springs Coy. Ltd 5oz, "Fountain" T/M, Niagara. Light scratches and pit marks. Harder to get nonabbreviated variation. A small bottle filled with embossing. Very Good 300 400 89 Codd - J. L. Lillyman Moree 5oz, 'This is the property of J.L. Lillyman Moree'.One way pour. Professionally polished and has come up treat with minor haze/stain in top. Faint impact in lip, approx. 1cm. Hard to detect. I never seen this variation before with the extra writing to the front. Rare. Poloished/Good 200 300 90 Codd - A.M. Bickford & Sons Adelaide 5oz, "Dobson" T/M. Light wear and minor marks. Tiny chip in lip too small to measure. Looks like it might turn Amethyst. Very Good 40 60 91 Codd - H. J. Heap & Co. Chester Lodge Cordial Works Camperdown 5oz, "Dobson" T/M. Polished with very minor pitting. The light embossing has been affected by polishing which is unfortunate, considering how rare this bottle is. Not one to miss out on, as another one won't come along anytime soon. Polished 300 400 92 Codd - F & E Thomas Ltd Inverell 5oz, 'Soda', "Dobson" T/M. Minor staining and wear. A very good example. Hard to fault. Desirable. Very Good 60 80 93 Codd - Thomas Stokes & Co. Bunbury 5oz, "Kangaroo" T/M, Niagara. Hard to fault, some minor wear and marks. Crudely made with several manufacturing marks. Regardless, the bottle is a stand out, with a beautiful deep aqua colour and prominent Trademark. Very Good 300 400 94 Codd - L.N. Hyeronimus Wellington 5oz, "Monogram" T/M, Bulb Neck. Tiny impact to lip, approx. 0.3cm. Light wear and scattered impact marks. Needs cleaning. Scarce variation. Very Good 300 400 95 Codd - Summons & Co. Sydney 5oz, "Kangaroo" T/M. One way pour. Lightly polished with minor wear, stain and pitting remaining. Three impact marks to left of marble retention lug, approx. 0.5cm each. Fantastic early Sydney Codd. Polished 300 400 96 Codd - Lillymans Moree 5oz, 'Soda Water' to shoulder, 'This Bottle Always Remains The Property Of Lillyman's Moree' to front base edge, Dobson.
