The McAdenville Project (replace-
ment of Bridge #8 in McAdenville,

NC), led by Mike Rowland, was
completed five days early.

AMT provided construction administration, engineer-
ing, and inspection services for NCDOT’s McAdenville
Bridge replacement project (State project: DL00129)
on SR 2209 Wesleyan Drive in Gaston County. This
project replaced bridge #8 over an unknown trib-
utary of the South Fork River at McAdenville Fire
Station No. 40. The new structure consists of 3’ x 2’
prestressed concrete cored slabs and spans approx-
imately 63 feet. The project was being accelerated
due to annual holiday traffic demands and completed
within seven months.
This is the first project that has not had liquidated
damages. As a result, the contractor will receive a
$100,000 bonus for finishing the project ahead of
time. This project has a total contract value of $1.8
Million and has officially opened with a ribbon cutting
ceremony.
