“MY DREAM HOUSE” PROJECT ASSIGNMENT

YEAR 3 ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHERS :

LEARNING OBJECTIVES : YEAR 3

Pupils can :-

qintroduce themselves with at least 2 personal details (name,
class).

qpresent and describe four (4) parts of the house in details
orally such as living room, bedroom, kitchen, toilet.

qwrite, labels and categories each item according to parts of
the house correctly. (e.g : in living room, I have a sofa, wall
clock, table….

STEP 1: Start the project

1. Read teacher’s instructions about the project carefully.
2. Do some research about the project.

• - Ask family members.
• - Refer to textbook (Get Smart Plus 3).
• - Search on the internet (pinterest / google image / educational

websites). The project from many sources.
• - Pupils may search for more information about the task given.
• - You may refer to any video on YouTube. (Keyword : Paper house)
• - You may also make it on your own with your own creativity.
3. Teacher give instructions through Telegram and WhatsApp Chat
Group.

STEP 2: Developing the project

Choose the best house plan for your model dream house.

1. Ask help from your parents or other family members.
2. List out every part of your house (living room, bedroom,

kitchen, washroom).
3. Create miniatures of furniture to be placed in your model

house.
4. Label every item correctly.

STEP 2: Developing the project (continuation)

You may use any kind of materials, such as :

• A4 Paper
• Cardboard
• Box
• Colour Paper
• Glue and etc.

STEP 3: Ending the project

Prepare yourself for the video presentation.

1. Write simple script to guide you.
2. Practice speaking in front of the camera.
3. Record yourself explaining about your dream house (not

more than 2 minutes).
4. Submit your video to your teacher for evaluation and

assessment.

Murid-murid boleh:-
q Memperkenalkan diri mereka dengan sekurang-kurangnya 2 butiran

diri (contoh: nama, kelas).
q Menerangkan 4 bahagian dalaman rumah secara terperinci dalam

satu video.
q Menulis label setiap objek/benda berdasarkan bahagian-bahagian

dalam rumah dengan betul.

LANGKAH 1: Memulakan projek

1. Baca setiap arahan tugasan yang diberi berkenaan projek dengan teliti.
2. Selidik tentang projek ini terlebih dahulu:

• Tanya ahli keluarga
• Rujuk buku teks Get Smart Plus Year 3.
• Layari internet (contoh: Pinterest, Google image, laman-laman pendidikan).
• Boleh juga merujuk YouTube untuk mendapatkan idea projek ini (guna kata kunci

carian, contoh: Paper House)
• Sebaik-baiknya guna kreativiti anda sendiri untuk menyiapkan projek ini.

Markah yang lebih tinggi diberikan bagi KEASLIAN IDEA.

3. Arahan tugasan akan diberikan melalui Whatsapp atau Telegram.

LANGKAH 2: Mengembangkan projek

Pilih pelan rumah yang terbaik sebagai model rumah idaman
anda.

1. Minta pertolongan ahli keluarga.
2. Senaraikan setiap bahagian rumah anda (contoh: living

room, kitchen…)
3. Membuat perabot mini untuk ditempatkan dalam bahagian-

bahagian dalam rumah anda.
4. Labelkan setiap objek/benda dalam rumah dengan betul.

LANGKAH 2: Mengembangkan projek (sambungan)

Bahan-bahan projek:

§ Kertas A4
§ Kadbod (cardboard)
§ Kotak
§ Kertas berwarna
§ Gam
§ Lain-lain bahan yang difikirkan sesuai.

LANGKAH 3: Menyiapkan projek

Rakam satu video pembentangan anda.

1. Tuliskan satu skrip untuk membantu anda semasa
pembentangan.

2. Latih bercakap di depan kamera.
3. Rakam diri anda menerangkan rumah impian anda (tidak

lebih daripada 2 minit).
4. Hantar video anda kepada guru mata pelajaran masing-

masing untuk penilaian dan pentaksiran.
