Prime Hoggs & Cast Sheep

A much improved number were forward to a crowded ringside of eager buyers.

Many more would and could have been sold as prices remained firm throughout the

sale. Top price on the day realised 211.59ppkg for a tremendous pen of 39.7kg

Texels exhibited by WW&D Boow, Corney Hall being purchased by A Dawson,

Sedbergh. Top pounds per head reached £87 for marvellously well fed pen of 42.5kg

Texels shown by E&CA Shuttleworth, Far Mountbarrow being purchased by A

Atkinson Livestock Ltd, Harrogate. More Cast Sheep through the ring met a brisk

trade with Hill bred types being the easiest to sell. Top price on the day realised £92

for strong Texel Ewes exhibited by P Bradley, Moor Green being purchase by GP

Jones, Wrexham.

(£1320.69) for a well finished 662kg Limousin Heifer exhibited by R Falconer & Son,
Water Blean being purchase by N&S Rhodes Butchers Ltd of Barrow. Top price
Steer reached 198.50ppkg (£1445.08) for a well fed 728kg Aberdeen Angus shown
by P Bradley, Moor Green being purchased by S Mason & Sons Ltd Quality Butchers
of Barrow. Top pounds per head reached a tremendous £5130.62 achieved by Y&P
Ashburner, Bracken Beck for marvellously well fed 812kg British Blue Steer.

A pleasing entry were forward to a competitive ringside of buyers with prices peaking

at £61 for a strong pen of Texels shown by DR Rigg, High Flan. Mules reached a

pleasing price of £51.50 also for DR Rigg, High Flan.
