Voice Over Guest

Darrel Guilbeau is a Los Angeles based actor who
began voice acting in 2004. He has voiced the lead
roles of Mikado in the Durarara!! series, Gainer Sanga
in Overman King Gainer, Amaimon in Blue Exorcist,
Rikuo Nura in Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan, Gael in
Heroes: Legend of the Battle Disks, Hakuryu in the Magi
series and Ichitaka Seto in I’s and I’s Pure. He has also
lent his voice to such anime as Samurai Champloo,
Paranoia Agent, Higurashi: When they Cry, The Prince
of Tennis, Zoids Genesis. Kekkashi, Bleach, Code Geass:
Lelouch of the Rebellion, Cyborg 009, & most recently
in Ishida & Asakura.
In the video game world, Darrel is best known for
voicing Layle in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The
Crystal Bearers, Viewtiful Joe in Marvel VS Capcom 3 &
Ultimate MVC3.
As an actor, he has had roles on stage, screen, TV,
and in commercials. Most notably in LBJ as Jack
Valenti directed by Rob Reiner, Windtalkers, The
Comeback, Victorious, Gene Simmons Family Jewels,
Saved By the Bell, Lauderdale, Silent Night Deadly Night
Part 2, and Murder in Law to name a few.

TRINA NISHIMURA

Voice Over Guest

Trina Nishimura began her acting career at the age
of nine in community theater and began touring
in theatrical productions at age 13. From meager
beginnings to a long career on stage, on screen,
and in voice work, Trina’s most notable roles in voice
acting span over a decade and include over 200
titles.
Fans will recall Trina’s many dutiful portrayals as
Mikasa Ackerman in Attack on Titan and Attack on
Titan Junior High, Jiro Kyoka in My Hero Academia,
Kurisu Makise in the Steins;Gate, Mizune in Soul Eater,
Lan Fan in Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Milly
Thompson in Trigun: Badlands Rumble, Sherry in Fairy
Tale, Mari in Evangelion 2.22 and 3.33, & Sarah in Love
Live! Sunshine!! to name a few.
Some other exciting pieces of her work include in
Radiant, Chain in Blood Blockade Battlefront, and the
list goes on.
Trina is that rare breed of performer who not only
embodies her characters, but also embraces her
fans…taking time to make appearances around the
world.

Molly Searcy is a voice actor for Sentai Filmworks,
FUNimation, and Sound Cadence. Her most
recognizable roles are Akame (Akame ga Kill! –
Cartoon Network), Rory Mercury (GATE), Centorea
(Monster Musume), Isuzu Sento (Amagi Brilliant Park),
and Mako Reizei (Girls und Panzer). Molly loves her
work and the opportunity to meet and chat with
anime fans.–especially at cons! When she’s not in the
booth, Molly can be found on stage. She is a Brierley
Resident Acting Company member at Dallas Theatre
Center and recently earned her MFA in Acting from
SMU.

Armen Taylor is a voice actor who has worked on
a slew of video games, animated projects, and
anime series. These include characters such as
Boone in Rocket Arena, Risotto Nero in JoJo’s Bizarre
Adventure: Golden Wing, Zeno in Phantasy Star Online
2, Ranulf in  Fire Emblem Heroes,  Franz Reinford  in
the  Trails of Cold Steel series, Mattias Torres in  Ace
Combat 7: Skies Unknown, Miklan in  Fire Emblem
Three Houses, Tiberius in Paladins: Champions of the
Realm, The Dragon in Beyblade Burst Rise, Deusolbert
Synthesis Seven in  Sword Art Online: Alicization, as
well as Sour Face in  One Punch Man. Some of his

Musical Guest

Awesomus Prime is the Rock Star convention
DJ who doesn’t shy away from entertaining the
nerdy masses. With a set dedicated to showcasing
remixes from your favorite video games, animes,
and cartoons he spices things up with just a dash
of chiptune for his geek infused performance. Don’t
let your guard down around him though, you may
catch a combo breaker of your favorite classic jams.
He brings a highly energetic spirit to every set as he
runs around dancing with fans, breaking it down and
has been known to headbang the night away.

Awesomus has had the pleasure of sharing the stage
with other amazing artist including Hyper Potions, DJ
Cutman, MC Lars, Clockwork Dolls, Heroes 4 Hire,
and Kenzie Black. He has rocked the house at many
conventions including Super MAGFest, Blerdcon,
Zenkaikon, Setsucon, New Jersey Gamer Con,
Nerdtino Expo, New York Comic-Con, AnimeNYC,
Quirkcon, Saikoucon, Awesomecon, and PokéCon.

BAMALA COSPLAY

Cosplay Judge

Bamala Cosplay has been designing costumes
and making props since a very young age, making
extravagant designs with her parents. She would
sew Halloween costumes with her mom & build just
about anything with her dad.

Growing from the Halloween costume events – and
winning almost every one – to anime convention
cosplay events, Bamala Cosplay continued to
advance. From making the wigs by hand, free
handing the sewing patterns, working with eva
foam, and struggling with making shoes, she has
grown since that first cosplay – now having made
67 cosplay to date. Since 2019, she has used her
background in computer programming to 3D print
designs for her cosplays. Now, she is a cosplayer,
panelist, convention staffer, and so much more. For
Bamala Cosplay, cosplay means so much – “Anime
taught me to feel, manga taught me to read, and
cosplayers game me acceptance.”

Cosplay Judge

Coming out of “Face Mask Sewing Insanity”,
DizzyLizzy is ready to lend her Costuming expertise
for Derpycon Online. For over 20 years, she has
been creating costumes for herself and others while
receiving several Best in Shows for her workmanship
and performance skills. When she is not creating
costumes, you can find her still behind her sewing
machine creating bridal gowns for K&B Bridals and
working her geeky fashion line for Silly Little Things.
Lizzy believes in Cos-Positivity and stays active in the
community by hosting workshops, judging, running
Cosplay Departments such as Katsucon, Zenkaikon
and AnimeNEXT, and is the curator of The Magic of
Cosplay Exhibit.

SUPER ART FIGHT

Community Guest

Super Art Fight is the greatest live art competition
in the known universe, a live-action performance
where two or more artists battle against each other
on a giant canvas. With the help of two quipping
hosts and the Wheel of Death, they compete for the
audience’s affection in order to score the win. Yes,
the winner of an Art Fight bout is determined by the
fans, and the fans alone, as we use Science (known in
some circles as a decibel reader) to determine how
loud the crowd cheers and crown the winner. We pit
cutting-edge artists against each other in the art of
creative combat, reacting to the whims of the fans.

WHITE RABBIT

Cosplay Judge

White Rabbit, Katie Lynch to you muggles, is a central
New Jersey based cosplayer and seamstress who
has been haunting the convention floors since 2005.
She has a BFA in Illustration and has mastered her
seamstress skills by studying theatre and historical
costuming. Katie is a multiple master level award
winner for sewing and historical accuracy and an
East Coast convention panelist veteran. She enjoys
taking inspirational characters and morphing them
to fit her horror, gender bending aesthetic. She
received local fame with her androgynous Pyramid
Head from Silent Hill which inspired her to push
the limits of what cosplay can be for people. Katie’s
work has been showcased in Cosplay Realm and
Cosplay Zine magazine. Katie is thrilled to be part
of DerpyCon 2020 and cannot wait to virtually meet
you all.

its TV shows with Dr. Who being badly affected. Without
overseas distribution most of these episodes would be
lost...but many still remain missing to this day. This panel
will be looking at why the tapes were wiped and what has
been done to find these missing classics.

Doctor Who’s debut episode in 1963 was actually delayed by eighty
seconds. That was because the BBC was covering the assassination of

John F. Kennedy that happened in the US the previous day.

as they deserve!

to get more of it for cheap. Everything you’ll need to make
your first wig and how to proceed after that. How to reduce,
reuse, and recycle most of the wig that you get so you waste
less.

8th Century Russian composer Pytor Ilych Tchaikovsky
is considered one of the Great Masters of Music. His
compositions can be heard on television, radio, at concert
halls, and even in the movies. But did you know that his
work can be heard in Anime, too? This panel delves into
three obscure Japanese animated productions which do
just that. Also includes shout-outs to fan favorites like
PRINCESS TUTU, popular videogames like FINAL FANTASY,
and cult classics like PANDORA’S TOWER.

As we get closer to the holidays, you’ll be hearing some familiar tunes
in such as “The Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies” and “The Nutcracker

35 YEARS OF HORROR AND ROMANCE

Half-vampire, half-human, but always out for protecting the
innocent despite his species, Vampire Hunter D has been an
iconic hero to millions of Anime fans. The 1985 direct-to-
video classic turns 35 this year, and in celebration, we hold
this panel where you will get to learn about this legendary
hero’s origins. You’ll learn about his beginnings as a story by
Hideyuki Kikuchi, and even learn about its sequel, VAMPIRE
HUNTER D: BLOODLUST. Just in time for Halloween!

The Director of Vampire Hunter D, Toyoo Ashida, was inspired by
american cartoonists Tex Avery & Bob Clampett, and famed mangaka
Akira Toriyama, who he learned from while working on Dr. Slump.
