What a year 2006 has been, proudly wearing the light blue of
Gladstone. The Grade 8 camp started off with an unexpected
bang, winning the fun gala. This brought high hopes for the rest
of the year.
Although we weren't as successful in the Inter-house gala, it was enjoyed by
most as the 'supergirl' cheerleaders spurred the spectators and swimmers on.
Our house play The What that Wasn't was well directed and was nominated
for various awards. The cast was fantastic. Well done!
The matrics did the house proud by winning the Soccer Charity Drive with
our exchange student, Candelaria Blanco scoring the victory goal. What a
privilege having an Argentinian in Gladstone!
The Inter-house athletics was another great achievement for Gladstone.
Once again the matrics took the gold (for the third time) in the relay. Non-
stop cheering led us to the spirit cup. What a day!
The house week was one of Gladstone's best. The participants tried their
hardest and did the house proud.
This light blue house has so much talent and potential which is going to lead
us to many more victories and accomplishments in the future. What an
honour it has been, being Head of Gladstone.
Good luck and all the best to the staff and girls. Your matrics will miss you.

Our cross country team always ran with heart, spirit and “just” over the hill and around the dam! The term was over
utmost enthusiasm, never failing to have fun. The year started before we knew it. With many good laughs and fun times

Trophy and we really did well. We beat last year's league
winners, Affies Seuns Hoër, in the first term, but
unfortunately lost to Menlopark Hoër in the quarter finals.
We were still very proud to have got so far. We played in the
B Section of the third term league and did not lose a match.
Gina Switala was selected for the Gauteng North Women's
Team and represented a Junior South African Team in
Holland. We would like to thank Mrs Andrade for her
organisation throughout the year. We can't wait to
