SURVIVAL EEC

The Grade 11 learners a ended EEC
from 11 to 13 April at Grootvlei.

EEC was an emo onal rollercoaster
both draining and eleva ng; it turned
hunger into an emo on. Although Day
One felt like an episode of “Survival
South Africa” with ac vi es such as
crea ng a shelter; making your own
dinner and then sleeping outside, Day
Two le us excited and wan ng more.
Some of us went to EEC not expec ng
the harshness of the veld but we all
returned with a couple of inexplicable
bite marks, more understanding of
each other as members of the grade
and as surprising individuals, and
more knowledge about when and
where to be wary of snakes and
spiders!

STUDENT INTER-CULTURAL CLUB (SICC)

PHSG is home to much diversity and once a year the SICC
get together to celebrate different cultures' diversity with a
concert. This year's performance took place on Friday 20
April. Ticket holders were treated to an evening full of
dancing, singing, poetry and other fun performances by
learners who were eager to show off their talents and
various cultures.

VOLLEYBALL STAFF NEWS

On 17 March, PHSG par cipated in the annual Fourways Congratula ons
Volleyball tournament. Congratula ons to Mrs Gouws who got her BA Crea ve

made it to the Plate knock-out and beat Fourways F 21-20. New Staff
