A HIGH SCHOOL JOURNEY COMMENCES

A seed bank is a container or capsule in which seeds can be
stored, even in extreme condi ons such as fires or floods.
Each Grade 8 learner received a pack of seeds that was
stored in a seed bank, along with a le er she wrote to
herself.

From Friday 14 February to Saturday 15 February, the Girls'
High first team swimming, water polo and diving teams Everyone enjoyed themselves immensely, whether they

Cancer, is the PHSG's Matrics’ chosen charity for the year. It
is a founda on that supports children and teenagers with
cancer. This year the organisa on sold s ckers for R10 and
the purchasing of the s ckers gave purchasers the
opportunity to wear flip flops on 14 February.

On Monday, 17 February the A-League Inter-High Gala was
held at Hillcrest. Three Grade 8 classes, McWilliam,
Selborne and Van Zyl, were selected to support the Girls'
High team.

The girls were on their feet from 12:00 to 18:00, cheering
their hearts out. The A-team swimmers placed 4th in the
swimming compe on. Girls' High also came 4th in the
spirit compe on and the prefects who were there
expressed their pride in the lively performance of the
Grade 8 supporters.

The following day, the B-team par cipated in the B-League
Gala and was awarded 9th place overall. We are extremely
proud of all swimmers for doing their best!

BALLET VOLLEYBALL

Congratula ons to Nikita Latouf, Robyn Kingsley, Jasmine On Saturday 1 February the Pretoria High
Geldenhuys and Lauryn Letcher on passing the Intermediate School for Girls Volleyball First and Second
Founda on Exam. Erin Russell, Rebecca-Ruth Pullen and Anastasia teams played at DSP (Deutsche School of
Niescior passed their Intermediate Exam. Jordan Deerling passed Pretoria). Our U19B Team played against DSP
her Grade 5 exam! Well done to our graceful ballerinas! and won 2- 0, the also beat LJV (The French
Interna onal School) 2-1. Our First Team won
both games, against DSP and LIV, 2-0.

On Wednesday 5 February the Volleyball teams
played against Jeppe Girls and St. Barnabas. The
U16A Team played against Jeppe U16B and won
both sets. The PHSG U16A Team played Jeppe A
and lost 2-0. Our Second Team won their game
against St Barnabas College A 2-0. They later
played against Jeppe A and won 2-1. The
Second Team remained victorious against
Jeppe B with a final score of 2-1. Our First Team
played against Jeppe A, Jeppe B and St Barnabas
College A Team and won all games 2-0.

Well done to our teams for achieving such
outstanding results!
