Lifesaving

2005 has been the second year that our Lifesaving squad has had LIFESAVING INSTRUCTORS
the privilege of being coached by Oom At van Biljon. Being the
chief examiner for the North Gauteng Lifesaving Club, he Back Row (L-R): Michaela Randall, Netanya Bernitz, Chanelle Harbour,

Lifesaving has been phenomenal this year! It continues to grow as

Netball

Achievers: Gauteng U15 – Matlala Makoko

With the Grade 8 netball trials being highly attended at the

beginning of the season, we knew that we were in for a fantastic

season! After a first term full of fitness training, we were all ready,

most of us anyway, to face any of our opposing teams. The First

Team participated in the All Girls' School Festival in Potchefstroom

where we were successful and managed to win all our games and

were ranked first. The season that followed was an

amazing one with the U14A, U15A, U17A and

U19A teams all winning their leagues.

Apart from our matches, this year, a

record eight girls proceeded through to

the third and final round of the

Gauteng North trials showing netball's

progression and growth at PHSG.

The growth in netball would not

have been possible without the

help, hard work and guidance of

Mrs Janse van Rensburg and

her team of liaison teachers

and coaches.
