VALENTINE'S DANCE
In order to raise money for Child Welfare, the Grade 11s held
a Valen ne's Dance on 16 February. Learners set about
decora ng tables and jazzing up the venue for this much-
an cipated event a er school. The evening was memorable
and the young ladies and their partners dressed beau fully
for the occasion. PHSG would like to thank each parent and
the PA for assis ng at the dance. Without their help, it
wouldn't have been possible. Thank you!
ST ALBAN VISITS FOR RCL
VALENTINE’S DAY REPRESENTATIVES
St Alban's College serenaded the ladies at PHSG for ON THE SGB
Valen ne's day with 3 deligh ul songs. The young men's
efforts were recognised with much applause and cheer. Congratula ons to the following learners who were

DEBATING
Deba ng SACEE League took place on 24
February at Pretoria Boys High.
PHSG on the first debate against Pretoria Boys
High: This House would implement a quota for
the Oscars.
PJSG won the second debate against Bri sh
Academy: This House would not allow plea
bargaining.
The third round was a blind round (meaning no
results were given) against Afrikaanse Hoër
Meisieskool: This House regrets the
#MeTooMovement.
ATHLETICS TENNIS

The Volleyball girls played their first league matches on

11 - 12 PARENTS PHSG travelled to Johannesburg to play Basketball matches
against Sacred Heart College. The results were as follows:

EQUESTRIAN OFF TO A GREAT START
PHSG's equestrians started the year off
well. The first qualifier of 2018 saw several
of the PHSG riders come in the top ten in
their individual classes.

and placed 3rd in both Working Hun ng

year, she has received a scholarshop to further her
studies.

INTER-HIGH GALAS
At the Inter-high galas held on 19, 20 and 21 February, PHSG
A came 3rd in the A Sec on behind Menlopark A and AHMP
A. In the B sec on, PHSG B came 6th out of 9 schools. In the
C Sec on, PHSG C came 9th.
Congratula ons to all the swimmers on their results and
performances. A huge thank you to our cheerleaders, who
placed 4th in the Spirit Trophy and the Grade 8 supporters
from 8 Buxton, Connaught and Duncan who walked to
Hillcrest and cheered for almost 6 hours!

CONTACT CLUB
On the 15 February, Contact Club as well as the
Saxophone ensemble, visited Silversig Home for the
Elderly. The contact club girls handed out Valen ne's
day cards that they had made while the saxophone
girls entertained the residents. Much fun was had by
all!
