CELEBRATION OF LIFE FOR
Meuntta Meshan Dalton
JULY 7, 1972 • OCTOBER 20, 2021
My Life Story
Meuntta Meshan Dalton was born July 7, 1972 to Mr. Marshall and Mary Jane
Roberson. Meuntta was affectionately known by her family and friends as
“Boop”. In her early life, Meuntta attended Church with her family regularly. She
established a genuine relationship with God and accepted the plan of salvation.
She joined the Piney Grove Baptist Church under the leadership of the late
Reverend O.R. Kentrell, she was a faithful member and served in several
volunteer ministries. Meuntta was extremely active and engaged within her
church and participated in as many events as she could, attended Sunday
School, sang in the choir, and used her gifts freely, even playing the piano.
She began her educational journey at The Meadows Elementary School, where she discovered her passion for playing the
flute. From there she attended M.D. Collins High School, which has since been renamed Benjamin E. Banneker High School.
It was here, during her time as a student that she met the love of her life, Patrick Dalton. This is also where she pursued her
musical career and cultivated her gifts, by performing in the Marching Band until she graduated in the Spring of 1990.
In the Fall of 1990, she began her college career at her beloved Alabama A&M University, with an earned four year band
scholarship, eventually earning her Bachelor's Degree at Clayton State University. Her zest for learning ignited and she
pursued more advanced degrees. Meuntta received her Masters Degree in Business Administration from Strayer University.
Shortly after her educational journey, Meuntta married her best friend, Patrick Dalton, on July 13th, 1996. Meuntta and Patrick
focused on raising a family with the same devotion as her education and ministry. This union was blessed with three beautiful
children Patrick Jr., Paris, and Paton.
Over the years Meuntta had a thriving and diverse career that afforded her
the opportunity to excel in several places of employment. Her last role was
at the Clayton County Community Services Authority. Meuntta was a
woman of many titles, she was a beautiful daughter, a loving wife,
dedicated mother, and loyal friend; this is only to name a few.
She deeply loved her children, making sure they had a solid support
system and foundation. She instilled in them the values of life, and wanted
only the very best for her children. She didn't tolerate anything less! As a
true woman of faith, she and Patrick made sure that whatever their family's
needs were, they were met with the help of God.
Meuntta was content and truly happy when she helped others and spent time with her family and friends. Meuntta also had
diverse hobbies and had an eye for interior design, which was one of her greatest passions. She enjoyed entertaining,
shopping, traveling, real estate, cooking (especially Sunday dinners) reading, journaling, and her “me” time. All of this could
not have been made possible without the love and support of her beloved parents Marshall and Mary J. Roberson.
Her loving husband, Patrick; and her only brother, Marshall “Tank”; and father-in-law, Bennie Dalton, preceded her in
death. Meuntta leaves to cherish precious memories: three loving children, Patrick Dwaylon Dalton, Jr., Paris Marrie Dalton;
her loving and supportive parents, Marshall and Mary J. Roberson; mother-in-law, Karrie Dalton; sister-in-law, Johndrea
Dalton; the family pet, Draco; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

In Remembrance
of
Me
I want the memory of me to be a happy one!
To leave laughter and smiles now that my life is done.
The sun rose, yet it set for me, don't cry too long,
for my soul has been set free!
Remember the love that we always shared
For this is a journey we must go alone,
its all apart of the Master's plan.
I’m happy now because I have entered my brand new home.
So when you are lonely and sick at heart
Go gather around the friends we know
Bury your sorrows in doing good deeds
We will meet together again on the other shore!
You will miss me, but please let me go!
Together again.
Our souls have been set free!

People need people. Friends need friends.
And, we all need love.
For a full life depends not on vast riches or great acclaim, not on success or on
worldly fame, but just in knowing that someone cares and
holds us close in their thoughts and prayers.
May God continue to richly bless you all.
