You Wonder Why Saying Goodbye
You wonder why I went away As this day of sorrow comes, tears in our eyes, loneliness
and did not say good-bye. in our hearts, we say goodbye.
I could not bear to tell you Thank You for sharing your life with us,
for it hurts to see you cry. without you, we will not know the love of GOD for us.
My ship came in and beautiful to see. For you are a blessing in our eyes.
For the captain was King Jesus. We thank the Lord for sharing you with us.
He has given us a great gift that we will never forget.
He softly beckoned me. I ran across
the leeway and fell to His feet. Even as the sun sets and the rain falls down. GOD is
indeed amazing, for knowing who we need.
He gently took me in His arms my rest
is now complete. We will always love you, Tacorey.

Tacorey Knox, Jr. was born on February 7, 1999 in Atlanta,
Georgia to Sylanda and Tacorey Knox, Sr.
“Bookie” as he was most affectionately known by his family and also
known as “TK” by others, graduated from Riverdale High School and
attended Fort Valley State University. Tacorey was gifted in both
mathematics and language arts. He was also extremely athletic.
Whether it was baseball, basketball, football or track, he excelled in
every sport. Tacorey was charismatic, making friends easily and just
a lovable person. Everyone knew Tacorey to be fresh, neat, and clean
from head to toe. Very fashionable loving designer clothing, a
sneaker head, and made sure he wore the best cologne.
Tacorey accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior and
was baptized at the family’s church. He loved his family dearly and
shared his innermost feelings with his grandparents and was happy
that they had a listening ear. Tacorey was very respectful, kind and
fun, just an all- around good young man.
Whether it was fishing, washing cars, or doing yard work, he enjoyed learning and doing these things
with his father and grandfather. He loved music and was pursing his dream of becoming a rap artist.
At family gatherings, Tacorey loved to sing and dance and always was the life of the party just like
his Mother.
Another characteristic that he got from his mother was cooking in which he got
tips to create his own recipes with a twist. He was always protective of his sisters
and cousins and wanted to be respected as being the oldest. They looked up to
him and cherished the times they spent together.
He was determined to work and got his first job at Chucky Cheese. Later,
after attending College, he began a career working for the Yamaha Motor
Manufacturing Corporation of Newnan, Georgia. During which time, as a
result of his work ethic and dedication, he was awarded Employee of the
Month several times.
On Sunday March 14, 2021, Tacorey gained his wings and GOD called him
home. He was preceded in death by his Great Grandparents: Addis Johnson;
Anelle Robinson Jackson; Bobby Knox Sr.
