Inauguration Poem - Nation divided
Nation Divided
Our Nation is split in two
All everyone can see is black and white.
But our Nation knows better than this
They have no sympathy for others
They fool us looking like the surface of a glistening ocean but really on the inside you never know what is there
because you cant see, all you can see is the pretty looks on the outside.
But we know there is some good in the ocean we live in. 3
Maybe it will be a seahorse or
Maybe it will be a dolphin or
Maybe it will be the tropical fish or
Maybe it will be the sea turtles swimming or
Maybe it will be the ell who everyone looks at strange but on the inside it is better than any glistening of the
ocean.
Abandoned farmhouse - Balloon drapes 4
Feeling the wind is a soft texture as it slips off my finger tips
And then i feel it turn my hair into a tornado
My neck feels bare, but then
i seethe the smoke c
coming from the top of a small old house
And i gravitate towards it. But why? I don't know it almost makes me feel whole inside with the crunch of
the fall leaves every step i took closer to this house
I heard a trotting noise, like a horse in a field of lavender a never ending adventure.
But i turned and saw a dog sprinting at full speed. I looked behind me to make sure this dog was running
to.
But i saw no one, why was this dog running at me. I have never been here before should i leave?
But it's getting closer. I start picking up a jog to the house.
But i turned ever so quickly. Why you ask? Because on the window i could see a faint handprint like it was
getting pulled away from this window with the balloon drapes.
Ode - Ode To Water 5
Ode to water
Oh water
Oh how we celebrate you water
Oh how we need you dearest water

“Thump”
As we head down to gym class to play dodgeball
“I’m so thirsty i could drink a pool full of water” says my friend
Then i think of how good the feeling of swallowing water would be at that moment
And then i think of all the pretty things water makes like waterfalls and rain.
And then i imagine what it would be like to be a flowing waterfall, or an ocean.
But then i think of how important water is to the world.
Thank you.

I open the window to see the circle motions hitting puddles.
To hear the rain pitter and patter, kids splashing in puddles, and car wheels going through water and
spraying it up like a wave.
i look up to see dark clouds swarming in as if darkness taking over the sky. In the distance i see a
lighting bolt strike the earth.

Concrete poem - Lightbulb
Up light up you go, bright as the sun. You
keep me safe from the dark.
Lightbulb oh lightbulb
Safe safe safe safe safe
But when you go out we light the candle, as
if its bright. But no one can beat your
wonderful light.
That's the color of lemons or maybe a post
it. But no one can beat your wonderful
light.

Free Form - A world without color
“A world without color?” i ask confused. “Maybe it will be a great topic!” Ms.Wilson whispers. “Uh ok..” i mumble
...
A world with color so pretty and bright
A world without color so bland and tight
I hear a screech at the sight
As pretty as a colorful butterfly or as gray as a shark
What would we do without color ?
