Inauguration Poem 4
Home
Everyday we think of History
Everyday we think of the Freedom
Everyday we think of Home
We graved the past to see the Future
We fear getting older
We are ONE Union needing to stand up
Inauguration poem, continued
That is why our fathers stood up for Freedom
That is why they signed the Declaration
That is why we see the Rockets Red Glare
That is why we see the AMERICAN FLAG
That is why we are HOME!

Scary Circus
In the old circus
There was a clown
There was an acrobat
There was a magician
Something went wrong there
In the show the magician cut the wire
The acrobat fell
The magician disappeared
The clown got stuck in the funhouse
He couldn’t get out because of the wretched palace of mirrors and fun
Ode To Kool-Aid
Kool-Aid you cool me on a hot day
You heal me on the ski mountain like an
avalanche
Kool-Aid Man you “say oh yeah”
You are so cold when I chug you
You are dyed red for looks and taste
You taste like a sweet savory cherry
You stain my clothes full of sugar like candy
But somehow I still like you

Poem inspired by Walter Dean Myers 8
Winter
The wind is water
Like the breeze leads to the sea
I tell you the wind is water
You will soon see
It’s like the cold weather upon us
Only let us be
The earth is often cold
The trees begin to sway
I tell you the earth is cold
On a cold winter’s day
As the snow begins to fall
I think I will go and play
Poem by Walter Dean Myers continued
AS the water turns to ice
The kids begin to skate
I tell you the water turns to ice
Dinner is going to be late
I hear the kids scream “goal” as the puck hits the net
Hockey is our fate
As the trees begin to blow
I feel the wind on my skin
I tell as the wind begins to blow
I can sure feel a win
The cold is upon us
It is now ten below.
