PROJECT WORK: B.TECH
Name of the Project: SCHEDULING ALGORITHM FOR JOBSHOP PROBLEM.
Scheduling has been and continues to be a major issue in production planning. Typical
manufacturing systems produce a variety of products, each requiring a specified set of
operations on specific machines in a predetermined order.
In our project we developed a logic for scheduling the jobs on to the machines, which
will give you an optimum value of scheduling time compared to other. To generalize the things
we developed a software in “Dot Net” which is user friendly to bused by a normal man. The
another feature of our project is automatic generation of the Gantt Chart ,which represents the
scheduling in a graphical pattern enabling the user to understand the scheduling easily at a
glance.
PROJECT WORK: M.TECH
Name of the Project: Effect of Dimensional Parameters on the Performance of Vortex Tube
Vortex Tube is a Non Conventional cooling device, which uses only the compressed air
to generate cooling and heating effects simultaneously. Unlike the conventional cooling devices,
which use the ozone layer depleting chlorofloro carbons, vortex tube is eco friendly. The main
drawback of the vortex tube is its low COP.
In my project experimental analysis is done to improving the COP of the Vortex tube by
studying the effect of various working and geometrical parameters effect on the Vortex tube
performance. Optimum conditions were found. Various other advantages and application areas
of the vortex tube were discussed.
PH.D RESEARCH WORK AREA
My area of research in Ph.D was Advanced Combustion techniques in IC Engines, to be precise
on Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition (HCCI) combustion Engines. I worked on the
CFD modeling of the HCCI engines, and studied the various parametric effects on the HCCI
engine performance. I used some new techniques to overcome the challenges for the realization
of the HCCI engine. Based on the results got in my research work I published papers in some of
the top International Journals and conferences.
DECLARATION
I hereby declare that the information furnished above is true to the best of my knowledge
and belief.

Additional Information
Below are the some of the research projects I did and working for the last few years.
1) Experimental Analysis of a Vortex Tube:
Experimental analysis has been conducted on a “Ranque-Hilsch vortex tube” to find the
effect of operating and geometrical parameters on its performance. Optimum conditions for
obtained to enhance the performance of the vortex tube. Analysis was done considering the
parameters like inlet pressure, L/D ratio of vortex tube, inlet air temperature, and nozzle diameter
and cold mass fraction. The results revealed that operating parameters has considerable effect on
the performance of the vortex tube performance.
On this works No. of Journals Published: 1 Conferences attended: 2
2) Numerical analysis of a HCCI engine:
A 3D-CFD analysis has been conducted considering a CI engine running in
Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition (HCCI) engine. The project was aimed at studying
the combustion and emission aspects of the HCCI engine in a 3D mode by applying Extended
Coherent Flame Mode – 3 Zones model. The entire numerical analysis has been carried out at
IIT Hyderabad using the High Performance Computing Laboratory (HPCL) facilities. The
analysis results revealed many interesting findings like the effect of Swirl ratio and other
parameters on the performance and emission characteristics of the HCCI engine considering the
in-cylinder flow studies that effect the turbulent kinetic energy and velocity magnitude inside the
combustion chamber.
For this analysis I was awarded with “Best Research Scholar -2015 award” from Institution of
Engineers, India.
On this works No. of International Journals Published: 11 (Out of which 7 or SCI with
highest
Impact factor 4.8 and 3.68 etc.); International Conferences attended: 6.
3) “Mechtree”- to reduce the air pollution:
I am associated with RRG Enginering Pvt.LtD, Hyderabad in designing and developing a
device that reduces the outdoor pollution. A tower like structure is in construction with different
chambers which can absorb different harmful constituents of polluted air. The technology is in
advanced stage and we are going for patenting the technology.
4) Still Water power Generation:
I am in association with “Seven Seas Technologies”, Hyderabad in developing a still
water power generation technology. The basic idea is to use the potential energy of the still water
in generating the power by re-circulating the same water again and again. The project is under
consideration of “Department of Science and Technology”. We are going for patenting the
technology very soon.
5) Consultant Works:
a). I designed a bio reactor for Dr. P. Srinivasa Rao’s project on bio reactors. The reactor is
used to feed the cells and study the growth of the bio cells under various conditions. The design
includes the CAD model preparation and fabrication with acrylic material.
b). At present I am working with Dr. B. Rama Raju on a project called “Corn Cob Machine”
which is mainly used to separate the soft tissue of the corns which is rich of glucose to produce
ethanol. The project was approved by the Department of Bio-technology (DBT) India, and Rs.
32,00,000 was granted for the project. The model preparation of the machine is over, we are
about to start the fabrication of the machine.
