HOD’S Message

Professional education plays an essential role in today’s dynamic environment .The Industrial sector is entirely
dependent upon the availability of the trained managers to perform the multidimensional activities needed to keep
the wheel of industry running .For this purpose , there is a need that the educational institutes impart relevant ,
current & cutting edge knowledge to the students . Keeping in view these facts, the Management Program has been
started in the year 2008 with the name of Department of Management Studies. The Department offers two year full
time MBA Program, affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University & (Approved by AICTE) with the intake capacity of
60 students per year. The program has been framed with emphasis on developing analytical thinking, creativity,
imagination & team work among the students. It seeks to provide a platform to nurture the talent, to hone the skills &
to mould an individual into a resourceful & perceptual professional. Here theoretical knowledge coupled with practical
training captures the essence of Versatility. Following 18 specializations from the third semester are offered:

The Department has 8 full time faculty members specialized in different disciplines and many visiting faculty

members. The department has 4 class rooms, 1 seminar hall, 1 computer laboratory, 1 GD room and 1 Departmental
library. The department has also established a students’ association named ‘Management Studies Students’
Association’. The association organizes various activities such as Seminars and workshops.
