A MESSAGE FROM THE EDITORS

Ironically, next month, the Whitley Village News will celebrate its
fortieth anniversary. One of its founder members, June Smithers is
still on board, organising printing and distribution backed up by an
impressive team of deliverers. As you know, all the editors compile

the magazine voluntarily so costs consist solely of the price of
printing.. We want to do all we can to save the village news and
will be exploring the possibility of sponsorship as well as holding
fundraising events. So, if you value your printed magazine popping
through the letterbox each month then please help us. And if any

villager knows of any local business who may be interested in
sponsoring us do get in touch. Or you may have a suggestion for an

alternative way to fund our magazine so please let us know. You
can contact me, Gill Whitworth (730712) our Chairman, Helen Carey
