MIKROBIOLOGI PANGAN BerbasisScience,Technology, Engineering,Artand Mathematics Jenis mikroorganisme dalam bidang pangan sangat beragam, seperti: bakteri, virus, khamir dan kapang. Seluruh mikroorganisme tersebut ada yang memiliki dampak positif dan dampak negatif. Dampak negatif seperti dihasilkannya toksin yang dapat merusak dan menyebabkan penyakit bawaan pangan. Untuk itu, dalam mengelola dan mengkonsumsi bahan pangan perlu dilakukan berbagai upaya, seperti: menjaga higienitas dan sanitasi, memisahkan bahan mentah dengan bahan yang telah matang, melakukan preservasi bahan pangan, dan fermentasi.
