Instructions for the teacher.

Your students are going to play a type of charades game with the sport cards.

1. Before class copy and cut out enough sets of the cards for teams of 3-4 students.

2. In class, put students into groups of 3 or 4, sat around a desk.

3. Place a set of the sports cards, face down, in the middle of the desk.

4. Elect a student to go first: they pick up the top card and does the action* of the sport.

5. The other students have to guess the sport - first one with their hand in the air gets to answer first.

6. To win the card (for 1 point) the student must answer with the correct English word. The winning
student gets to pick up the next card in the pile.

7. At the end, the student with the most cards is the winner.


*For more advanced students, they can describe the sport instead of doing actions.
