SUKANEKA HARI GURU 7 JUN 2023 Sukaneka hari guru disambut meriah oleh guru-guru dan warga kakitangan sekolah. Sukaneka ini dikendalikan oleh pelajarpelajar tingkatan enam. Sukaneka ini bertujuaan merapatkan lagi silaturahim dalam kalangan guru. Edisi sukaneka pada tahun ini bertemakan permainan indoor kerana keadaan cuaca panas melampau pada bulan ini.
SAMBUTAN HARI GURU 12 JUN 2023 Sambutan Hari Guru peringkat sekolah telah disambut dengan begitu meriah sekali dengan adanya perarakan masuk guru-guru yang bertemakan pakaian iaitu Nusantara dan menggunakan payung yang berwarna warni. Persembahan dari guru-guru dan juga para murid juga turut memeriahkan lagi Sambutan Hari Guru pada tahun ini.

THE WONDERS OF HUMAN’S BRAIN BY EIVYEN ANN LEON LOWELL (4 KRITIS) Embarking on the adventure to understand the incredible workings of the brain is like entering a giant symphony where every brain cell plays a key part in creating our thoughts, feelings, and actions. This organ is like an orchestra conductor, guiding us through a maze of brain connections lit up by the spark of curiosity. What are the wonderful works that our brain can possibly do and how does it work? As we travel this maze, memory steps into the spotlight, quietly weaving the story of who we are through our experiences and learning, making the mind’s landscape truly fascinating. In the theater of our minds, emotions take the main stage as they deeply influence our thoughts, actions, and overall perception of the world, showing the myriad shades of humanness. From the dramatic scenes of fear to the graceful moments of love, the brain works like a skilled painter, adding intensity and color to our experiences and also shaping the narrative of our lives. Think about a situation where you find yourself facing the prospect of delivering a public speech. Upon going on the platform, feelings of nervousness and excitement fill you. These emotions play a major role and in this case, they dictate your way of delivering the speech, the tone, and you can even look at your body language. This inner theater of your mind paints this experience in with vivacious emotions, which inform the general feel for the moment and affect your overall performance. As we delve further, the brain is known as an ideal machine for any type of learning. There’s a proverb that sounds, ‘You’re never too old to learn.’ Indeed, the brain, with its remarkable capacity for europlasticity, or the brain’s ability to reorganise its own structure in response to events, reminds us that growth and learning know no age limits. To illustrate, imagine an individual in their forties deciding to learn a musical instrument. The brain’s neuroplasticity comes into play, allowing it to reorganize and adapt in response to this new skill. This trait allows us to learn new abilities, gain knowledge, and adapt to a changing reality, influencing both our individual and group development processes. Moreover, at the heart of the brain’s remarkable capabilities lies its capacity for cognition. The brain as we know is an expert problem solver, continuously processing information, building connections, and creating ideas. In the words of Carl Sagan, “Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known,” emphasizing the brain’s role in converting sensory inputs into perceptions, allowing us to navigate the world with awareness and comprehension. From understanding complicated mathematical calculations to admiring the beauty of a sunset, the brain’s cognitive abilities are limitless. In the enchanting garden of our mind, the brain stands as a marvel waiting to be explored. THE PILLS TO PROFANITY BY YVONNE YEH (4 KRITIS) Until now, the increasing prevalence of explicit language, or more known as profanity, among the younger generation poses a significant social problem. This can be easily proven by the choice of words in nowadays’ communication, where explicit language is commonly used to express emotions and opinions. Not only this affects the younger generation in terms of communication formality and respect, it will also tarnish the country’s image as a respectable society. Therefore, finding solution to this matter is necessary to prevent it from escalating further. One of the effective ways to stop using profanity is by replacing swear words. Instead of dropping a whole bomb of swearing, people can use old-fashioned or humorous replacement for it. This way, the usage of profanity can be lessened, while brightening the room’s mood at the same time as it sounds hilarious to hear. In short, substituting swear words put a stop in profanity as it generally cleans up one’s vocabulary by eliminating and replacing offensive words with other words. Furthermore, you should change your surroundings, predominantly your friends. Associating with friends who habitually use vulgar words will likely lead to one adopting similar behaviour. This influence can also be seen in advertising, where consumers may feel compelled to purchase the product due to persuasive marketing tactics, leading to compulsive shopping. This phenomenon is similar to the excessive profanity usage as a means of fitting into society. Therefore, by choosing healthier friendships, you will inevitably create a better surrounding and reduce the use of vulgar words in your daily interactions. If any of these solutions aren’t giving the expected outcomes, looking for anger management classes or psychotherapist is a favourable alternative. Excessive cursing behavior often stems from inability to express one’s anger or feelings properly. Through these class sessions, they can learn to refrain themselves from swearing, as these classes aim to reprogram one’s inner monologue, enabling improved communication devoid of swearing. To summarise, swearing adversely affects one’s character, thus contributing to the bad perceptions of our country. It is also potentially lead to negative consequences such as producing ruined future generations. Hence, this issue requires prompt and efficient solution, paralleled to the current modern standards to achieve a promising future. Let’s stick and face this together collectively for optimal results!
