Miliaria Rubra Miliaria Rubra is mostly common in infants.

Miliaria Rubra is a skin condition
caused by blocked sweat ducts and
trapped sweat beneath skin. (common
during hot, humid weather.)

Appearance

Rash may appear as a blister or red
bumps on the skin. It may cause
itchiness or prickly feeling.

Infectious/Contaigous?

Miliaria Rubra is not
infectious/contagious and usually
resolves within days to weeks

Massages cannot be performed over
contraindicated area.

Plicatured Nail Plicatured nails can be inherited.

Plicatured Nail is a type of highly
curved nail plate often cause by injury
to the matrix or constriction to the nail
from improperly fitted shoes.

Appearance

The nail is flat on top but one or both
sidewalls angle sharply into the soft
tissue forming vertical sidewalls.

Contagious/Infectious?

Not infectious/contagious, but there is
no treatment for plicatured nail.

Services can be performed unless
there are signs of infection.

Nail Psoriasis Nail changes can occur in 50 percent of people living with psoriasis.

Nail Psoriasis is when the immune
system will inexplicably regard normal
tissue as harmful and launch an
immune assault. (causes your nail
plate to lose cells)

Appearance

Small dents in finger or toe nails called
“nail pits”, white, yellow, or brown
discoloration.

Infectious/Contagious

Not contagious but you should see a
doctor if there are signs of psoriasis or
fungal infection

Services can be performed on affected
nails.

Bromhidrosis

Bromhidrosis is fouls smelling odor
related to your sweat. (when sweat
encounters bacteria on the skin is
when the smell emerges)

Other Causes

Poor hygiene, hot and humid weather,
recent exercise, or eating certain
foods.

Infectious/Contagious?

Not contagious

Services can be performed depending
on severity.

Its diagnosis as a medical condition is generally considered rare, but

bromhidrosis is likely underreported.
