What is perfect participle? An action was finished before another action in the main clause. Having + past participle of the verb. Made of present participle and past participle. A dependent clause. Doesn’t have a specific tense or subject. Provides additional information . Followed by another action (main clause) that act as a result for the preceding action.
Examples: Having shouted at him, she left the room. Having finished the work on time, Jon went out for a walk. Having gotten arrested, he shouted he was innocent. Having talked to him, she felt awful. Having murdered his mother, he was sentenced to death.
