INDUSTRIAL
TRAINING
INTRODUCTION

1.1 INTRODUCTION

The course is an industrial attachment course offered in
the final year to expose students to the real work
situation in related industries from the basic responsibilities

up to the managerial stage performance.

1.2 prelimery

The main focus of this industrial training is to manufacture
a prepare and capable graduates student in facing
work industry either in academic field or non-academic
field with a high professionalism spirit. It is also to
expose the student to the real life corporate industry
other than enhance the student’s social skills.
At the end of industrial training, students are expected
to accomplish all the objectives and benefits all
the knowledge that has been gained in facing the work

challenges in the future.

1.3 INDUSTRIAL TRAINING OBJECTIVE

Be exposed to real life art and design employment situation.

Build and enhance technical and design-related
knowledge and skills and improve competency.

Develop professionalism, aptitude and adaptive skills
in real-life situations.

Enhance interpersonal and collaborative skills in a
team-based environment. Prepare for the actual

workforce.

Develop and sustain closer relationships between
the industry and university.

1.4 report objective

Give an overall picture about student’s activities and work
task during industrial training.

As a book to collect all the datas and information obtained
during industrial training.

Explain more specific on work that has been done based on
daily logbook student.

An early reference for another student that will go through
industrial training in the future.

A reference to any company to improve their company policy
on industrial training. To qualify certificate award for degree

in UiTM.

1.5 importance of industrial training
for students

Every bachelor degree UiTM student has been obliged to
undergo one industrial training for a duration of three
months. Industrial training is compulsory to each students
before graduates. The importance of industrial training to
students is to expose them to life work environment
before they start work life phase. In fact, this initial
exposure can strengthening student identity as well as
encouraging students to continue their studies untill they
manage to graduate and obtain a degree certificate.
After undergoing industrial training, students will be more
confident and aware of the real working environment,
this actually can help students a lot to practice what has

been learned in a lecture.

2.1 organizational background

2.2 organization INTRODUCTION

Caliph Group is a Takaful agency that was based in Johor Bahru
also known as BMC (Billionaire Mastermind Consultancy)
and is currently the fastest-growing Takaful agency in Malaysia.
Caliph Group is a company that offers protection and also investment.
The protection has flexibility to claim even in multiple times. While
investment is a protection that adjusts as per life stages. People

are able to choose from wider fund options to invest.

2.3 organizational established
background

Caliph Group was founded and established in 2012, based in
Johor Bahru. Within a year of our establishment, Caliph Group
expanded rapidly from 15 agents to 220 active Takaful agents.
In 2018, Caliph Group had eight branches nationwide with
500 agents, 24 unit managers and 30 Assistant Unit Managers
in Johor, Melaka, Putrajaya, Pahang, Kedah, Kelantan and Penang.
In 2020, we have established ourselves as the ALC (Agency
Leader Corporation) of FWD Takaful Berhad (formerly known as
HSBC Amanah Berhad) with a total over 1,400 Takaful agents

and made RM20 million in business.

Caliph Group was founded by Mohd Hamzavi who holds an
American Associate degree, majoring in Business Administration
from MARA Community College, Kuantan, Pahang and a Bachelor
Science in Business Administration, majoring in Finance from the
Northern Arizona University, Arizona, United States of America.
He has over six years of banking experience in both local and
international banks. His career began in RHB Bank Berhad, and he then
became the Premier Centre Manager in HSBC Bank Malaysia Berhad,
where he was in charge of and organised exclusive events for high
net-worth clients in the Southern Region. His passion for insurance led
him to venture into the industry in 2005 as a full-time insurance
agent and unit trust consultant. After working as a full-time agent for
nine years, Caliph Group Agency was established in Johor Bahru.

Currently, he is the Group Agency Director of Caliph Consultancy
Group Sdn Bhd.

3.1 INTRODUCTION

Industrial Training Policy of UiTM has helps students goes
exposure and experience of the real corporate industry
like in relevant organization that in line with the wishes
of the UiTM to create first-class human capital that is
knowledgeable, competitive, creative, innovative, critical
and analytical and also competent. In addition, it is able
to produce graduates with technical and soft skills to
enhance student market ability and employability skills
to meet the needs of curent workforce. The Industrial
Training Course is compulsary for all students of the
academic level certificate Diploma and Bachelor of
Degree to quality for the award of certificate of
Diploma and Bachelor of Degree. Students must pass

industrial training as specified in the course of study.

3.2 PROCESS

I was asked to design a poster for a talk which is From Newbies
to Champion. The poster have to relate with success, business and
using profesional concept. Hence, I did some research on internet to
design a great poster. I also edit the same poster for the same event

but on different date and change the date.

For this poster, I researched for profesional business poster and used
businessman wallpaper as the background to notify people and display
the content of poster indirectly. I used orange colour since it is the colour

of BMC company identity.

3.3 PROCESS

I had to recreate and redesign all takaful ad and also takaful
information from internet using my own ideas and concept
as side jobs whenever my supervisor did not gave me any
jobs on that day and continue to do so when I got free time

during working hours.

3.4 PROCESS

I was asked to do Independance Day posters for 2020
and also 2021 for them to make posting during the day
on their website and social media. Then I started to do
some research on how this posters look and what it deliver
towards audience then started to design several posters. My
supervisor told me to do an online application which is Canva
because I just have to edit the poster with my own ideas and

design using the template.
