Every funeral service deserves to be truly memorable, flawlessly planned and correct to
the smallest detail. The families of our community have long turned to us because we
give every funeral service that kind of respect. In fact, giving our best is simply the way
we do everything here. That can go a long way toward providing real comfort for the
families we serve. And we think that makes our funeral home a special place indeed.

Page 36 – The Somers Record Thursday, October 21, 2021

To my friends and neighbors in Somers,

In an already fast-paced world, with information coming at us from all
sides seemingly all day long, things can get lost in the fog of rhetoric,
opinion, and ego -especially when it comes to politics. So I’d like to tap
the brakes and slow it all down for a moment because it’s nicer that way.
Peaceful, calm, and friendly is what our town is all about.

Somers is a retreat from the rat race, from the city noise. You feel it when you step off the train or take that
exit ramp bringing you closer to home and family. Ever notice how those last few blocks driving home seem
quieter? Isn’t it amazing how you naturally relax and breathe easier with each passing tree until you park the
car? When I was a small boy growing up here, everyone knew your name. There was a sense of small-town
pride, community, and a family-like atmosphere. It was a place where everyone looked out for each other and
lifted one another’s spirits.

That’s the spirit in which I write this message, without slogans, hyperbole, or digs at a political opponent.
Election Day is coming up on November 2, and I am asking for your vote to be your next town supervisor. That
means I’m asking for your trust. In return, I am pledging nothing less than my absolute best effort every day. I
will show up early and stay as late as necessary to do whatever it takes to keep Somers safe, fiscally sound,
affordable, and welcoming to all who wish to join us.

I have the same at stake in this as all of you. My wife, Cat, and I are raising our children here, just as we were.
I’m in Somers for the long haul because I genuinely love this town, and I am humbled by the opportunity to be
of service. If given that opportunity, you have my word that I will not let you down.

With appreciation for your consideration,

Rob Scorrano
