Fulmar Road kindergarteners celebrate Earth Day

On Earth Day, April 22, students celebrated the in-
ternational event known as Earth Day, which pledges
support and raises awareness for environmental causes.
2021 marked the 51st anniversary of Earth Day and
this year’s theme was Restore Our Earth. Kindergar-
teners in Kathryn Jeselli’s class at Fulmar practiced
their cutting and gluing skills by making special hats
to commemorate the day and wore them outside with
Assistant Principal Elizabeth Blessing and she read
them Earth Day, Birthday, a story about a Lion and
his friends who want to plant trees, recycle bottles and
have fun on Earth Day, but Monkey wants to celebrate
his birthday instead. Jen Malley’s class used used mark-
ers, crayons, and water colors to express their feelings
through art while they too discussed the importance of
taking care of Mother Earth
