Sending soldiers a box of ‘home’
United for the Troops ships its 30,000th gift box

and we never could have imagined
it would get to this level,” said Jim
Rathschmidt, who co-founded the
organization with his wife Patty.
“Nobody knew when the 30,000th
box was coming through. e

We stopped for a brief celebration
and got back to preparing more
boxes. We want to thank everyone
who volunteered, donated, and
supported United for the Troops
for helping us to ‘bring a little com-
fort to our troops.’”

food, toiletries and goods that
the military does not provide
