On the 72nd Annh•ersary of the Yuva-Buddh Project of

The Young Buddhists Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage

October 12th, 2022

Pai\iia. one ofthe utmost virtues in Buddhism, is often characterized as wisdom or holistic
understanding of phenomena based on sound reasoning, as evidenced in Sarigiti Sulla where the
venerable Sariputra, one ofthe top disciples of Lord Buddha, illustrated three methods to attain wisdom:
Sutamaya Paiina, acquired fro m listening to others and studying, Cintamaya Paiii\a, acquired from
thought or logic and reasoning, and Bhavanamaya Paiiiia, acquired from meditation and spiritual
development. Hence, Buddhist adherents should embrace all means of intellectual development in a
consistent, well-balanced manner without neglecting any specific aspect in particular, while they
persevere to achieve the transcendent level of wisdom - Adhipai\i\a, perceived as the light of wisdom
that illuminates and shines brightly, thereby annihilating the darkness and obscurity of ignorance in
people's minds within the local communities, across Thai society, and throughout the world.

The Young Buddhists Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage has embarked on
the mission of promoting wisdom among the youth and young adults through these three practices, for
which the association deserves much recognition. I would like to express my sincere appreciation for all
your efforts throughout the years and wish that the praiseworthy projects and initiatives under the
association be continued, as they have tremendously contributed to the sustainable perpetuation of
Buddhism.

On this auspicious occasion, I would like to pay homage to the Triple Gems, and wish
that everyone at the Young Buddhists Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage, along with the
award recipients for their outstanding contribution to Buddhism, be blessed with prosperity on their
spiritual journey and pursuit of wisdom in accordance with the dharma of Lord Buddha.

A Message of Gratitude
On the 72nd Anniversary of the Young Buddhists Association of Thailand

under Royal Patronage
Promoting Buddhism is a Dhamma the Lord Buddha left for Buddhists.
He wanted Buddhists to perform community service for the benefit and happiness
of all people. Buddhism is a priceless, incomparable heritage. It connects people
and guides them throughout their lives. It is a source of social morality and
ethics, guiding how Buddhists live to attain happiness, peace, and benefits of
mankind indeed.
The Young Buddhists Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage
encourages Buddhists to make merit and experience secular happiness. Their
happiness can then develop into “The Seven Treasures of Dhamma”, which are
reliable in this world & the next, and free Buddhists from suffering. The Seven
Treasures of Dhamma are faith, virtue / morality, moral shame, moral dread,
learning, generosity, and wisdom.
Righteous persons who have faith in the Triple Gem are generous, well
meaning, and willing to support Buddhism through their donations.The righteous
person studies Buddhism and learns to cultivate virtue. Moreover, they are
ashamed of and intimidated by sinful behaviors. They are eager to listen to
more Dhamma. They are devoted Buddhists who avoid wrongdoing and develop
wisdom.
May the Triple Gem and all the merit you have made bless Buddhists
and students of Buddhism. May they be granted the four blessings and the
strength to promote Buddhism and support fellow Buddhists. May all of you
continue doing good deeds and have wisdom to make Buddhism flourish. I
would like to congratulate and express my gratitude to the Young Buddhists
Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage on its 72nd Anniversary.

The 72nd Anniversary of Young Buddhists
Preserving & Maintaining Buddhism

The 72nd Anniversary of the Young Buddhists Association of Thaland is
on Wednesday October 12th, 2022. It marks 72 years of stability and prosperity
for the association. In fact, the association has existed for almost 3 quarters of a
century. If it were a person, they would be 72 years old, or in their eighth
decade. They would be aged and perhaps experience degenerative age-related
conditions. However, this is not true for the Young Buddhists Association of
Thailand. The association was founded with the good intentions of its founding
generation of Buddhists and has flourished over the subsequent decades. If current
young Buddhists are determined to promote Buddhism, the association will remain
prosperous and continue to greatly contribute to Buddhism and the world.
This 72nd Anniversary is an auspicious occasion to recall the contributions
of the Young Buddhists Association of Thailand since its founding. The work of the
association has been successful because of sheer determination. Its success is a
great reminder and source of encouragement for the current leaders to continue
their efforts to achieve the association’s mission. May they have the mental strength
and wisdom to collaborate with one another to practice and promote Dhamma.
The success of the association will result in perpetual benefit and happiness for
mankind, as the Lord Buddha intended.

Founded in 1950, The Young Buddhists Association of Thailand under Royal
Patronage was set up with the mission to promote Buddhism and the practice
of Satipatthana (mindfulness), in addition to affirming the faith and wisdom of its
followers. In 2022 it celebrates the auspicious occasion of its 72nd Anniversary.
Buddhism can be promoted via many ways, but there is one common goal
– Nirvana or transcendent bliss. The Lord Buddha had 60 arhats promote Buddhism
after the first Buddhist Lent, stating “Bhikkhus, please hear me. Please set upon a
pilgrimage for the benefit and happiness of many people, to help the world.”
His speech reflects the volunteer spirit in Buddhism. The 60 arhats volun-
teered to undergo pilgrimage for the happiness of people. Indeed, these 60 arhats
acted as the first role models for volunteerism in Buddhism. Free from the bonds
of desire, the arhats volunteered without considering their own gain, instead acting
out of the common good.
I would like to congratulate the Young Buddhists Association of Thailand un-
der Royal Patronage on their 72nd anniversary. This year provides an ideal opportunity
to reflect on what the organization has accomplished.
Happiness helps maintain the willpower to continue doing good deeds.
According to the Jataka Tales of Maha Hangsa: “We see Dhamma in ourselves;
we feel a great deal of happiness and delight.”
May the power of the Triple Gems bless the management team of the
Young Buddhists Association of Thailand under the Royal Patronage. I wish all of
you prosperity and growth in the Dhamma of the Lord Buddha. May you be free of
sadness, disease, and all suffering. May you enjoy longevity, flawless complexion,
good health, strength, determination, Dhamma, and material wealth. I wish you

On the 72nd Anniversary of
the Young Buddhist Association of Thailand Under Royal Patronage

The word "Yuva" in Pali means "mixed age group." It is a mixture of adult people
yet to become elderly. It's an age group that can make a difference because they are
enriched with physical and mental strength. They are a group of people who can do good
for society. Accordingly, the role of "Young Buddhists" is important to the future of
Buddhism. Young Buddhists have changing powers, and they are the "change-makers" in
themselves. Therefore, whether Buddhism would either develop or decline depends
partly on the understanding of Buddhism of those young Buddhists. It was a far-reaching
vision of the founder of the Young Buddhist Association of Thailand Under Royal
Patronage who has foreseen the important role of the "Youth" and has established an
association promoting noble friendship. It is an association where "Youth" would develop
into "Youth Buddhist," a group of people who are "Awakened" and persuade others to be
awakened too. After all, this is a character of being a noble friend.

May all young Buddhist members who are noble friends always recollect these 8
qualities while being a young Buddhist: 1. Saddha - positive thinking 2. Sila - well
behavior, 3. Suta - yearning to learn, 4. Caga - self-sacrifice, altruistic, 5. Viriya -
perseverance, 6. Sati - restraining one's mind, 7. Samadhi - having a concentrated mind,
and 8. Paiii:ia - wise in identifying and solving any problem.

The Young Buddhist Association ofThailand, a meritorious volunteer organization
is able to carry out various activities for as long as 72 years is indeed a pride of members.
But at the same time, I would request new generation ofyoung Buddhists who is coming
to play the role should lea rn good a nd bad from past activities and ready to work for the
new generation of young Buddhists who come into learn the work. Let us develop young
Buddhists to be a Buddhist practitioner themselves and serves to support the
propagation of Buddhism as another alternative. With a creative and modern activities
let the association encourage "Youth" to become "Youth Buddhists." Transform normal
youth to be youth Buddhist, a group of people with the power of awakening relying on
Dhamma as their refuge and to be the thriving force of Buddhism of the future.

On the 72nd anniversary of the Young Buddhist Association of Thailand Under
Royal Patronage, I would like to express my hearty congratulations and appreciation for
what the association has achieved.

Bhikkhus, please hear me. The Sal Tree of the Himalayas grow within
five of its areas: branches and leaves; bark; cambium; alburnum; and its trunk.
Bhikkhus, please hear me. The Sal Tree of the Himalayas grow within
five of its areas. Similarly, people living in a house whose owner has faith also
develop in five areas:
Their faith.
Their observation of the precepts.
Their attention.
Their contribution.
Their wisdom.
Bhikkhus, please hear me. People living in the house whose owner has
faith develops in these five areas.
Trees which grow on hills in large forests develop into huge trees. In the
same way, children, wives, friends, relatives, and people sustaining their lives
in the world develop by relying on young Buddhists who have faith and who
observe the precepts.
Those people see the young Buddhists who observe the precepts, are
attentive, and practice integrity. When they attain full awareness, they follow the
young Buddhists. When they practice Dhamma, which leads to heaven and bliss
in this world, they become delighted and enjoy secular happiness in Devaloka.

จากพระดำ�รัสจะสามารถสะท้อนให้เห็นได้ว่า พระอรหันต์ซึ่งไม่ต้องทำ�หน้าท่ีละกิเลส
แล้วท่านยังได้ทำ�หน้าที่การเผยแผ่ตามพุทธดำ�รัส และโดยเฉพาะพระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้าน้ันได้ทรง
ดำ�เนินพุทธกิจโดยไม่หยุดยั้ง จวบจนปลายทาง พระองค์ทรงโปรดปัจฉิมสาวกขณะบรรทมด้วย

Appreciation
The main duties of Buddhist monks are to study, follow, and promote
Dhamma, and are the main work of Buddhist monks. Studying and following
Dhamma are duties monks perform for themselves, while promoting
Dhamma is their duty to others. It is great to be able to contribute to
the benefit of oneself and others. Most importantly, promoting Dhamma
is what people should do based on their ability and is a way people can
contribute to society.
Concerning working for others, monks should be determined not to ignore
their duties when facing challenges. Challenges are normal. To overcome
challenges, we need inspiration to guide us to continue walking until we
have reached success in serving others. Remember, the Lord Buddha
is our greatest inspiration and role model. He was determined to help
people as stated:

“I am enlightened, so I want others to be enlightened.
I am over it, so I’d like others to be over it.
I’ve passed it, so I’d like others to pass it.”

The main principle is to first demonstrate determination. Then you can seek
fulfilment, which is not meant to merely benefit yourself. You must benefit
others as well. The principle is clearly illustrated when the Lord Buddha was
Ascetic Sumedha. He could have been enlightened and achieved nirvana
alone, but He sought to benefit mankind, as He said:
“What is the point of me becoming enlightened as a human-being? I will be
omniscient and when I am enlightened, I will save human-beings and angels.
I will stop transmigration and escape from the three realms. I will sail on
Dhamma to help men and gods cross over the river of transmigration.”
With this determination, Ascetic Sumedha practiced Dhamma until He
achieved enlightenment and became the Lord Buddha. His altruistic role
became prominent as He treated others mercifully.

The route between the Maha Bodhi Tree and the Sal Tree is the best
resource for inspiration. The Lord Buddha’s expedition to save teachable
human-beings was the most successful. He was free from suffering and
achieved His goal of helping ordinary people to become free of suffering
as well. In the meeting with 60 Buddhist saints, the Lord Buddha said:å
“Bhikkhus, I am free from all the burdens celestial and secular. Even you,
too, are free of all the burdens celestial and secular. You should make
pilgrimage to bring Buddhism to the people and save the world, bringing
them many benefits and much happiness. Go share Buddhism for the
benefit of gods and men, and their happiness. Do not go together on the
same route. Go teach simple Dhamma. Then, as people’s understanding
progresses, teach them more complicated Dhamma. Announce the purity
of Buddhism in content and practice. There are living creatures who have
dust or desire in their very eyes because they have not listened to Dhamma.
When they have not listened to Dhamma, it fades away and people forget
how to do good deeds. Bhikkhus, I myself will visit Uruvela Senanikhom
village to teach Dhamma.”
His speech showed Buddhist saints, who were free from all desire, still
did their duty by sharing the teachings of the Buddha. The Lord Buddha
promoted Buddhism until His passing. He was teaching Dhamma to His
last group of disciples, while bedridden with terminal illness. The Lord
Buddha remains the role model for promoting Buddhism, even in the final
stage of His life.
Therefore, it is delightful to commemorate the Lord Buddha and consider
the important teachings of the Sutta Pitaka, where faith begins. Being
friends with the people who have faith in the Lord Buddha brings great
joy. It is a source of happiness which inspires you to perform duties as
good Buddhists.

der Royal Patronage, I would like to express my appreciation for being good

of Buddhist monks. I wish the Young Buddhists Association of Thailand under
Royal Patronage to remain continued prosperity and being the immense
power, which shines the light of Buddhism on Thailand and the world. May
the staff, participants, and everyone be free from sadness, disease, and all
suffering. I wish you happiness and prosperity. May you receive the good
things you deserve. May you achieve the success you wish for. I wish all your
good wishes come true for you.

On people, young Buddhists shines the light
With the purest heart; with all their might.

Thailand is a great Buddhist nation
With Young Buddhists’ determination.
Young Buddhists promote Buddhism worldwide.
They never give up being good guides

To guide people by example, indeed.

Congratulatory Message

Gautama Buddha delivered his doctrines to the first sixty awakened monks 2610 years ago,
instructing them to wander, teach, and spread the Dharma for the welfare and benefit of
deities and mankind.

Buddha's followers then fulfilled his ideology for the benefit of the public, and hence,
Buddhism has been widely spread and continued to grow. At present, Buddhism is
considered one of the most important religions in the world.

Thailand initially accepted Buddhism as the national religion since the Sukhothai Kingdom.
Numerous monasteries and organizations promoting · the Buddhist path can be seen
throughout the country, including the Young Buddhists Association of Thailand under the
Royal Patronage.

The Young Buddhists Association of Thailand under the Royal Patronage was first
established in B.E. 2493 (1950) by a group of young people like Khun Satien Phothinantha
Khun Bunyong Wongvanish and Khun Supot Sangsomboon, guided by the former
Phra Srivisutthiyan, also known as Ajam Sujib Punyanubhab from Wat Kanma Tuyaram.

The objective of this association is to exchange knowledge and encourage young people to
adopt Buddha's teachings and apply them into their daily life. This approach was well-
received by the Thai youth. More popularity has since increasad when Ajarn Siri Karinchai
brought Vipassana-Kammatthana or Insight Meditation Practice based on the Four
Foundations of Mindfulness as an essential practice here at the association. Insight
Meditation, solely existing in Buddhism, is the path leading the practitioners to inner peace
and happiness.

Those who practice Insight Meditation, known as Worship Practice, are praised by the
Buddha. As the Buddha said to the Venerable Ananda in the Mahaparinirvana Sutra
(Tripitaka No. 10), which can be summarized as follows:

"One who abides by the Dharma is worthy of the Dharma. It is by such deed that the
Tathagata is revered, respected, venerated, and worshipped in the highest degree".

The Buddha praised Worship Practice because, as long as there are Insight Meditation
practitioners, Buddhism will continue to grow and prosper.

The Young Buddhists Association of Thailand is one of the leading organizations in Worship
Practice, emphasizing on Vipassana-Kammatthana or Insight Meditation Practice, praised by
the Buddha.

Thanks to the vision of the past and present executives of the organization, the Youth
Buddhists Association of Thailand has continued to flourish. In addition, the organization
has also received generosity from Vipassana Instructors, Dharma instructors, and a number of
speakers delivering Buddha's teachings. Most importantly, it is Dharma seekers who have
continuously supported the activities of the association.
On the auspicious occasion that theYoung Buddhists Association of Thailand under the Royal
Patronage is celebrating its 72nd anniversary, I, as the President of the World Fellowship of
Buddhists, would like to extend my sincere congratulations on its success.
May I conclude my address by invoking the power of the Holy Triple Gems to bless the
administration, the organizers, and every individual involved in organizing this conference
with strength, health, happiness, and longevity so that you all may live and prosper for the
noble cause of the Dharma.

The Young Buddhists Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage
is the Buddhist organization which was established in B.E. 2493. The YBAT has played
an important ro le in propagating Buddhism to children, youth, and interested
people which are visible to the public. There are also effective management.
The YBAT is a network that has been working in religious affairs with the Department
of Religious Affairs for a long time.

In propagating Buddhism for bringing up faith and wisdom, as well as
adopting the Buddha's teachings in life. The YBAT has adhered to Tipitaka
(Theravada) that it is emphasize on Meditation Practice According to the Four
Foundations of Mindfulness. Several courses for children, youth, and interested
people have been provided accord ing to the appropriateness of each age range
for instance, Vipassana Meditation course for youth the age from 7 - 25 years old,
Mind Development course for youth the age from 10 - 25 years old, Vipassana
Meditation primary course from the age of 18, Vipassana Meditation Intensive course
from the age of 18, etc.

On the Occasion of 72nd anniversary of Young Buddhists of the Young
Buddhist s Associati~n of Thailand under Royal Patronage, YBAT has arranged to
prese nt Honorary Awards to Distinguished Buddh ist propagators and those who
make contributions to The Young Buddhists Association of Thai land. This is an
inspiration to encourage those who make contributions to Buddhism and to the
association which is a commendable and very pleased.

On beha lf of the Department of Religious Affairs under the Ministry of
Culture, I wish to express my encouragement and support as well as being a force
in driving the propagation of Budd hism. This will result in the principles of Buddhist
teachings t hat will benefit all mankind forevev

The Young Buddhists Association of Thailand Under Royal Patronage
(YBAT) has been serving and propagating Buddhism to a broad group of
people of all ages and genders. By opening branches throughout Thailand’s
regions, we provide more opportunities for individuals to practice Dharma.
The readiness of our buildings and facilities allows us to host more than 300
Dharma courses and accommodate over 45,000 people per year. In response
to the COVID-19 pandemic that causes people to develop new lifestyles,
YBAT has established different approaches to spreading Dharma.
Our mission is to increase people’s access to Buddhism. With
live-streaming and online teachings, Dharma may be studied and practiced
at home. Although COVID-19 is now more under control, we will continue
operating online as an additional way to engage people.
In honor of YBAT’s 72nd Anniversary, we have devised a new
objective that is consistent with the rapidly evolving times of today’s era. Our
aim is to “develop the ‘Youth’ (the unknowing) to become the ‘Buddha’ (the
knower, the awaken, and the enlightened one).”
YBAT is determined to maintain a strong organization that fosters
the growth of Buddhism to make it sustainable for 5,000 years.

พุทธศกั ราช ๒๔๙๒

เป็นเวลานานถึง ๖ ปีนับจากปี พ.ศ. ๒๔๘๘ ที่คนไทยและชาวโลกต้องดำ�เนินชีวิตอยู่ท่ามกลางวิกฤติ
ไฟสงครามโลกครัง้ ที่ ๒ การสืบสานพระพุทธศาสนาอันเป็นเครอ่ื งจรรโลงจิตใจตอ้ งชะงกั งัน เพราะปัญหาเฉพาะ
หน้า นั่นคือความไม่ปลอดภัยของชีวิตและทรัพย์สิน และบ่อยคร้ังที่ผู้คนมุ่งคิดถึงแต่ “ตัวเรา-ใจเรา” จนละเลย
หลงลืม “ตัวเขา-ใจเขา” เมื่อเป็นเช่นนี้ “สัญชาตญาณการเอาตัวรอด” ก็ย่ิงแสดงออกมากข้ึน หนักหน่วงขึ้น และ
หลากหลายรูปแบบมากขน้ึ ศลี ธรรมในใจเรมิ่ เสื่อมถอย..
■ ในช่วง พ.ศ. ๒๔๙๒ เป็นเวลาที่หมอกควัน “ธรรมะ” เมอ่ื เหน็ พอ้ งต้องกนั วา่ สงั คมไทย ณ เวลานนั้
สงครามค่อยสงบลง ในขณะที่การถกเกี่ยวกับปัญหา ต้องได้รับการเยียวยา ถึงเวลาต้องฟ้ืนศีลธรรมในใจ
ด้านศาสนาและศีลธรรมในสังคมเป็นไปอย่างกว้าง เพอ่ื แกค้ วามเขา้ ใจผดิ ทวี่ า่ ...ศาสนาเปน็ เรอื่ งลา้ สมยั และ
ขวางปญั หาดา้ นการฟน้ื ฟแู ละพฒั นาประเทศกเ็ ปน็ เรอ่ื ง เป็นเรื่องของคนเฒ่าคนแก่ ดังน้ัน คณะ “ยุวพุทธิกะ”
เร่งด่วนไม่แพ้กัน แต่เม่ือความเจริญด้านต่างๆ ทะลัก ซ่ึงมีความหมายว่า “เยาวชนผู้นับถือพระพุทธเจ้า”
เข้ามาอย่างรวดเร็ว การพัฒนาด้านศีลธรรมและ จึงถือกำ�เนิดข้ึน ด้วยความร่วมแรงร่วมใจของคน
เทคโนโลยจี งึ ด�ำ เนนิ ไปอยา่ งไมส่ มดลุ ในขณะทศ่ี ลี ธรรม หนุ่มสาวกลุ่มดังกล่าว โดยได้รับการสนับสนุนอย่างดี
ในใจเริม่ เสอ่ื มถอย จากผู้ใหญ่ท้งั ฝา่ ยศาสนาและฝา่ ยปกครองของประเทศ
คณะเยาวชนไทยกลุ่มหน่ึง ซึ่งผูกเช่ือม แม้จะเป็นเพียงพลังเล็กๆ ของเยาวชนคนหนุ่ม
สัมพันธภาพกันอย่างเหนียวแน่นด้วยสายใยแห่ง สาวเพียงไม่กี่คน แต่ด้วยความมุ่งมั่นพยายามและแรง

ประสานอนั เหนยี วแนน่ ไดก้ อ่ ใหเ้ กดิ ขมุ พลงั อนั ยงิ่ ใหญ่ โครงการและกิจกรรมต่างๆ ที่ “ยุวพุทธฯ” ได้จัดขึ้น
กระท่ังในที่สุด เกิดคณะบุคคลท่ีร่วมกันทำ�การเผยแผ่ ล้วนมีเป้าหมายที่จะนำ�พาผู้คนให้เดินทวนกระแสกิเลส
ศลี ธรรมในนาม “ยวุ พทุ ธกิ สมาคมแหง่ ประเทศไทยฯ” ตัณหา อีกทั้งหลายๆ โครงการ หลายๆ กิจกรรมเหลา่
ก็ได้รับการจดทะเบียนเป็นสมาคมอย่างถูกต้องตาม นนั้ ยงั สง่ ผลใหเ้ กดิ แรงกระเพอ่ื มในสงั คมไทย และสง่ ผล
กฎหมายเป็นผลสำ�เร็จ จนเป็นท่ีรู้จักของเยาวชนคน ต่อเน่อื งไปสู่จิตสำ�นึกอนั ดีงามของผคู้ น

ก่อนหน้าน้ี คุณบุญยงเคยได้ยินช่ือเสียงเรียงนามตลอดจนกิตติศัพท์ด้านการเป็นพหูสูตของคุณเสถียร
มาพอสมควร จากสหายสนทิ รนุ่ เดยี วกนั คอื “สพุ จน์ แสงสมบรู ณ”์ โดยคณุ สพุ จนไ์ ดร้ จู้ กั กบั คณุ เสถยี รมาประมาณ
๓ ปีแลว้ และนบั ถือเป็นกลั ยาณมติ รท่ดี ตี อ่ กนั เรือ่ ยมา
“...เป็นคนหนุ่มท่ีมีความรู้เก่ียวกับพระพุทธศาสนามาก...อ่านหนังสือธรรมะเป็นร้อยๆ พันๆ เล่ม เม่ือมี

เมื่อคุณสุพจน์ก้าวผ่านประตูร้ัวบ้านของตนเข้ามา พร้อมกับเด็กหนุ่มท่ีได้ยินแต่ช่ือและกิตติศัพท์มานาน
ผู้นี้ จึงทำ�ให้คุณบุญยงรู้สึกยินดีย่ิงนัก “สามก้อนเส้า”...บุคคลสำ�คัญท้ังสาม ผู้เป็นเสาหลักแห่งยุวชนไทยผู้ใฝ่ใน
ธรรมะของพระพทุ ธศาสนาไดร้ วมตัวกนั แลว้ นบั ว่าธรรม...ได้น�ำ ผปู้ ระพฤติธรรมให้พานพบกันโดยแท้
ด้วยความที่เป็นคนง่ายๆ สบายๆ ไม่มีพิธีรีตอง อีกท้ังเป็นผู้รักในการแสวงหาความรู้และศรัทธาใคร่รู้
ในธรรมะของพระพุทธศาสนาเช่นเดียวกัน ทำ�ให้ชายหนุ่มผู้ต้องชะตากันท้ังสามต่างเพลิดเพลินและอ่ิมใจกับ

สัมพันธภาพของสามหนุ่มผู้เช่ือมโยงจิตใจกันไว้ด้วยสายใยแห่งธรรมะ เป็นไปด้วยความสนิทสนมคุ้นเคย
ราวกับรู้จักกันมาเนน่ิ นาน และย่ิงนบั วันมิตรภาพของสามสหายกย็ ิง่ เพมิ่ ความแน่นแฟน้ ย่ิงขนึ้ ...
ทัศนะประการหนึ่งท่ีสามสหายต่างเห็นพ้องต้องกันก็คือ “ธรรมะมีประโยชน์และจำ�เป็นสำ�หรับชีวิต
ประจำ�วันของคนหนุ่มสาว” อย่างไรก็ตาม ในยุคท่ีควันไฟแห่งสงครามเพ่ิงสงบลงไปไม่นานเช่นน้ี นับเป็น
ช่วงเวลาของการฟ้ืนฟูและพัฒนาประเทศในด้านต่างๆ และผู้คนก็เร่ิมเปิดรับกระแสแห่งวัตถุนิยมมากข้ึนเรื่อยๆ
โดยเฉพาะอย่างย่ิงวัยรุ่นคนหนุ่มสาวซึ่งเป็นวัยท่ีพร้อมเปิดรับส่ิงแปลกใหม่ได้ง่ายๆ ย่ิงทำ�ให้นับวันความเชื่อมั่น
ศรทั ธาในพระพทุ ธศาสนายงิ่ เสอ่ื มถอยจากจิตใจผูค้ นลงไปทุกที
คุณบุญยงได้เล่าถึงประสบการณ์เม่ือคร้ังไป นบั ถอื ในศาสนานั้นๆ แทนก็มไี มน่ ้อยเชน่ กัน
ศึกษาต่อทตี่ ่างประเทศ ซึ่งตนไดเ้ ห็นถงึ วิธีการเผยแผ่ ทัศนะเก่ียวกับการเผยแผ่พระศาสนาดังกล่าว
ศาสนาของศาสนาอนื่ ๆ ทำ�ให้คนไทยบางส่วนทถี่ ูก เชื่อมโยงไปถึงการเปรียบเทียบที่น่าคิดว่า ในขณะที่
ชกั จูงหนั ไปนับถอื ศาสนาเหลา่ นั้น ท�ำ ใหค้ ณุ บุญยง ศาสนาอื่นๆ มีองค์กรท่ีทำ�หน้าที่เผยแผ่คำ�สอนของ
เกดิ ความวติ กอยลู่ กึ ๆ ยิง่ ในประเทศไทยด้วยแลว้ เม่ือ ศาสนาน้ันๆ ในลักษณะเจาะจงไปที่กลุ่มบุคคลต่างๆ
เปรียบเทียบงานเผยแผ่พระศาสนาของศาสนาพุทธ โดยเฉพาะวยั รนุ่ เชน่ Y.M.C.A. (Young Men’s Christian
