INFRASTRUCTURE
INDUSTRY COLLABORATION LABORATORY
Automotive Engine Testing Laboratory equipped with various engines from ARAI, Ashok
Leyland, TAFE & Greaves Cotton. This laboratory facilitates engine performance and
emission characteristics investigation carried with various alternate fuels. Faculty,
Research Scholars and students can explore their innovative ideas at this laboratory.
Many of our UG and PG students completed their projects by utilizing these facilities.
The WABCO, a leading brake manufacturer, framed up their Centre of Excellence at Vel
Tech. In this laboratory working models of various braking systems like Anti-lock Braking
System, Pneumatic braking, Hydraulic braking, Mechanical Drum and Disc braking are
available here. The students and faculty can able to learn the working principle of the
various braking system at this laboratory.
MAINTENANCE LAB ENGINE COMPONENTS LAB
Maintenance laboratory Engine components lab equipped with 6-
cylinder inline diesel engine ,4-cylinder
develop the skills of the inline petrol engine and 2stroke petrol
engine. Students can explore the various
students in the general engine components physically at this
laboratory. They can hands-on the
maintenance of vehicles. Tire engine components by dismantling and
assembling. They can able to learn valve
remover, Valve re-grinder and and port timing operations.

SIMULATION LAB
Simulation laboratory is equipped with high configuration computers with
licensed softwares like AutoCAD, ANSYS, Creo, Ricardo. This enables the scholars,
students to impart the fundamental knowledge in designing, drafting and
simulation of their ideas. It also facilitates structural and thermal analysis for
validation. They can also simulate the different engine at various scenarios, which
enrich their learning on combustion.

Twenty students from VT Motorsports have participated Go-Kart
completion conducted by Imperial Society of Innovative Engineers,
2019 at Buddh International Circuit, Greater Noida during 4th to 9th
Feb 2019. Our students bagged “Best Driver Award and Best Cross
Pad Award”.
The team “MUDTRAILERZ” participated in SAE event BAJA,
2019 held at NATRiP’s NATRAX , Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh
during 22nd to 29th Jan 2019 in the All Terrain Vehicle (ATV-
Electric) category.

kart racing at RPM Circuit, Bhopal during 21st to 26th Jan
