The National Police and Troopers Association provides financial
assistance to our nation’s law enforcement professionals and their
families during unanticipated hardships. Survivors of officers killed
in the line of duty receive an immediate cash award to remove the
financial burden until they have reconciled insurance and state awards.
Additionally, we provide training and research geared to keeping our members safe, effective and better able
to address the dynamic threats they face daily in their efforts to keep their communities safe. The NPTA also
provides financial contributions to organizations for physically challenged individuals; scholarships for members’
children seeking a career in public safety as well as congressional advocacy for these brave men and women who
wear the badge.

MISSION STATEMENT

N.P.T.A.

The National Police and Troopers Association (NPTA) is a special program within the International Union of
Police Associations, AFL-CIO (I.U.P.A.). The NPTA was created to provide specialized service dedicated to the
specific needs of law enforcement professionals. I.U.P.A. provides officers with education, surveys and wage and
hour enhancements, organizing, and mutually beneficial communication with other law enforcement officers and
troopers across the nation who comprise the I.U.P.A. family.

Although I.U.P.A. is recognized as a non-profit by the IRS, due to it’s particular tax status (501(c)5), donations
are not tax deductible and we would like to thank you for your support.

I.U.P.A.

The International Union of Police Associations (I.U.P.A.) is the only union chartered exclusively for law
enforcement and law enforcement support personnel and has been around since 1979. The I.U.P.A. is in a position
of strength within the labor movement due to collectively representing those in law enforcement.

While I.U.P.A.’s officers, active and retired law enforcement officers, fight to improve the lives of their brothers
and sisters in law enforcement, the I.U.P.A. works to improve legislation that protects and affects public safety
officers, as well as representing the needs of law enforcement officers and support personnel, whether that be for
better equipment, more staff or a fair wage.
