03 International Relations Office, NCU, Gurugram The International Relations Office (IRO) has been established to connect North Cap University, Gurugram to the world, blurring geographical lines and surpassing tangible limitations on education. The IRO helps NCU become a prominent player on the global platform by facilitating mutually beneficial international partnerships with global universities and institutions. It also aims to serve the NCU students, scholars and faculty members who are studying, interning or teaching abroad. This unparalleled access to resources miles across the world makes all kinds of global resources of learning accessible and hence, broadens the scope of opportunities in the field of education. We at IRO believe that a student’s future and career is shaped not simply through absorption of knowledge through world class faculty but also through an absorption of various ideals, ambitions and career aspirations of their peers. Hence, our initiative to bring them together with their peers from leading universities at a global level is a step not to just broaden their opportunities but also aspirations. An internationalised university as ours works on the development of a multicultural community of students and staff, preparing its students for global political and social environments, and the development of international alliances in research, education and business. We at IRO, strive to erase boundaries, cross divisions and transcend differences for the pursuit of knowledge. This endeavour to provide the best education available through partnerships with leading foreign universities is what makes education at NCU at par with the best in the world. 09 Salem State University, Massachusetts, Boston, USA • Scope of MoU: • Short and long-term exchange of faculty members and non-academic staff; • Semester Abroad (undergraduate and graduate ) for NCU Students at Salem State University,USA; • Collaborative research opportunity for NCU and Salem State University faculty, students and research community • Summer internship/immersion programme for NCU students at Salem State University, USA • Dual degree/joint degree for NCU students with course mapping and credit transfer • Recent Activities • Articulation process for offering a dual degree program (2+2 / 3+1 / 1+1) in computer science or business with Salem State University is underway.
10 Shibaura Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan • Scope of MoU: • Exchange of faculties and students • Collaborative research, joint academic meetings, seminars and workshops for NCU faculties and students • Exchange of information, publications and materials for academic purpose • Other activities mutually as may be agreed by the two universities • Recent Activities • SIT is offering a customised 1-week summer immersion programme for NCU students from 29th July -5th August 2023 for group of 20-25 students. • Programme fee (including accomodation, daily transportation,Tokyo sightseeing and food) Rs. 75,000 per student* *Programme fee is an estimate for 2023 and subject to change.
11 University of Regina, Canada • Scope of MoU: • Dual degree/joint degree for NCU students with course mapping and credit transfer. • MTech CSE and ECE NCU students are eligible to apply for a Master of Engineering degree in Software Systems Engineering and in Electronics Systems Engineering, respectively. • The selected students proceed to University of Regina, Canada after completing 1st year MTech programme at NCU and get a Canadian degree in Master of Engineering. • Recent Activities • Course mapping and credit transfer is allowed for NCU students. • After finishing three years of BTech CSE programme at NCU, the selected students will transfer to the University of Regina in Canada for completing the programme. • Prof. Raman Paranjape, Associate Dean ( Research & Graduate Studies) from University of Regina visited NCU on 22nd Feb 2023 to discuss the collaboration opportunities for NCU students at University of Regina, canada Discussion regarding the collaboration by Prof Nupur Prakash (VC, NCU) and Prof. Sharda Vashisth (Dy.Dean IRO, NCU) with Dr. Raman Paranjape Associate Dean ( Research & Graduate Studies, University of Regina)
