The animal princes have three forms they take, that of their animal subjects , that of human and that of a half human/half animal form. Wild Heart The Druid gains the power to change into the form of a reptile, bird or mammal. The animal may be of any size up to around twice the bulk of the cleric’s normal form. All equipment carried by the cleric is absorbed into the animal form and reappears when the cleric changes back. The Cleric has all the stats of the animal but keeps the cleric’s hit points and mind. The cleric can stay in this form for one hour or wish to change back before that time or until they die The animal princes human followers include mostly druids though there are humans who give thanks to them for animals they have hunted. In fact there is a 10% chance anytime a hunter does not give thanks that the animal prince might appear wanting attribution for the kill. Story of The Swan Princess This is a tale of The Princess of Swans and a Trickster Swan named Tal. Tal was floating on an enchanted lake when he saw the most beautiful swan tangled up in a fisherman’s net. He swam over and changed into his human skin to get the swan untangled. Upon freeing her he discovered that he had freed the Princess of all Swans. She thanked Tal for freeing her. The two fell instantly in love but before they could even kiss, the fisherman who’s net the Princess was free from shot an arrow into Tal killing him. In her grief the Princess made her love into the star constellation known as the Swan.
52 Divine Rank Demigod Dominions Buffoonery, Madness, Entertainment, Laughter Alignment Neutral Favored Weapon Circus Mallet Symbol White circle with red dot in the center Balen is a god whose origin traces back to the Earth Realm where he started as a human. He was “infected” by the Divinity Virus by the god Nergal who was tired of his divine, eternal nature. The Clown Prince has a presence among his clergy but is rarely seen in person. Balen has many aspects that can change on a dime. On one end he is fun, laughter and cheer on the far other end he’s the evil clown that waits in the darkness. His clergy reflects this from one congregation to another. There is great debate on Balen’s different states and what the clergy should do to follow. There is a more darker branch of the clergy that states that to truly follow the clown prince means to slide into madness. Laugh! Laugh! Laugh! The cleric channels laughter from the Clown Prince. This works as the spell Hideous Laughter affecting one individual +1 other for every two cleric levels. Laugh! Laugh! Laugh1 affects all beings (even things like undead) but not those of divine nature. Balen’s acolytes dress as clowns and jesters. They spread cheer and madness across the world of Evermore, traveling the world in circuses, spreading joy, cheer and sometimes chaos and terror. The Midnight Circus These traveling circuses pop up at the edge of towns at the stroke of midnight. On the surface they seem to be cheerful Big Tops but in reality they are composed of Clergy and their acolytes who embrace Balen’s darker nature. Stories of terror and horror come out of these towns after the Midnight Circus leaves, that is if there are any survivors left to tell the tale.

Baalzebul is a Duke of Hell that controls the dominions of Corruption, Decay and lies. He appears as a human with the head of a bloat fly. When meeting in person he can choose for the meeting to be pleasant, with the smell of honeysuckle in the air or being bathed in a gut retching smell. He's always looking for the next Deal, be it money or souls. Devils Rain Devil Contracts A well known fact are the Contracts devils will make to those who are desperate enough. But even more than that are those contracts that are made with groups of people. Take for instance the city state of Deltron. Deltron started out as a small town of 300 that would have died out had they not made a contract with Baalzebul. The residents thought they had a sweet deal. For just the single sacrifice of a virgin a year Deltron would become a successful city and in just 30 years later it became a city state. Unfortunately for Deltron they didn’t read the small print. Thirty years to the date Baalzebul came back to collect on the over 4,000 sous of Deltron.

Black Agnes is a green hag that clawed her way up to godling over her century long rule of the Haunted Forest. Grandmother’s protection While she doesn’t have a clergy, those who are devout enough might be allowed to channel The Dark Mother through them in time of very great need. Those who channel the hag becomes hag like with skin that changes green and wrinkled and nails becoming claw like. Strength, Dexterity and Constitution increase by two points. The claws doe 1d6 points of damage. This effects for one combat round per level of the person gaining the blessing. Black Agnes has no formal clergy, though all who live or traffic through the Haunted Forest bend knee to her and refer to her as The Dark Mother who can give and take life. Despite her monstrous nature she is well known for protecting those under her heel. The inhabitants of the Haunted Forest call on her for all their needs, from saving the Forest from invasion to the birth of a child. Temple of the Dark Mother Deep in the Haunted Forest sits a forgotten temple dedicated to Agnes. This temple runs deep underground and is said to have a passage to another realm. There is also rumor to be great riches that Agnes herself has buried there. The temple is rumored to have many horrible traps and torture devices the Dark Mother uses on those that dare enter her sacred places.

65 Zoso walked quickly through the Infectious Diseases ward. His time on Earth was short and there was much to get done. He passed a nurse with the name “Samantha” on her uniform and gave her a look. The nurse tilted her head to Room 312. Zoso stood in the doorway looking at the horrible sight. Laying in front of him was his High School Lover Dennis, ravaged by AIDS. Dennis seemed only half aware, looking like he weighed no more than 80 lbs. His face was ghost white with Kaposi’s Sarcoma markings adorning his face. “Dennis” Zoso said in a low voice. He had to talk but felt like he was intruding. Dennis looked up; his face showed confusion. “Jacob. Is that you?” his head started ever so gently to twitch uncontrollably. “It is.” Zoso said as he walked gently across the room to the side of his bed.
66 Dennis’s hand reached up to Zoso who took it into his own. “But how? The four of you disappeared. Where did you go? They looked for you for so long...” “That’s not important now my friend. I’m here and I’m going to help.” Dennis started to laugh, or at least tried to. He was so for gone, even that little reaction was too much. Zoso sat on the bed, he lay his hand on Dennis’s neck and took out what looked like a small bottle and held it up. “Look. I got you a Potion of Healing” Dennis looked up through his cloudy eyes and closed them “I don’t understand. Like in your games?” Dennis remember the four of them, Gene, Gwenevere, Jacob, and Jeremy playing every Saturday. Dennis himself played a few games. His character was a Knight. “Yes. Like in the game. Only now it’s real. Gene made it real. Evermore is real.” All of it was too much for Dennis to take in. He started coughing. Zoso got closer and using his voice to focus said: “Dennis, I need you to drink this. Trust me. Just open your mouth.” Dennis opened his mouth very slightly and Zoso poured it in. The second Dennis swallowed he felt a flood of energy overtake him and in almost an instant he was healthy and strong again with no sign he was ever sick. He looked at Zoso and around the room. He leapt out of the hospital bed and went to the mirror. The sight of his blemish free face made him cry. He turned to Zoso and said “It’s true. You created your world. But how? Before Zoso could answer, Nurse Samantha came to the door with a very angry face “why the fuck don’t you just use a blow horn “he said to Dennis. “I’ve been out here all this time making certain no one interrupted you but there is only so much I can do” Though the uniform didn’t change, the nurse’s form changed into a man’s body, but the face shocked Dennis. The face looked washed out with a thin layer of skin over it. “what the fuck? Dennis belted out. Zoso stood between the men and said “This is Charade, a metamorph. My lover” “This can’t be happening” the sentence escaped Dennis’s mouth just as he looked back over to the nurse, this time he looked like Bette Davis in “Whatever Happen to Baby Jane”.
67 Charade belted out “But it is Blanche! It is! And then he changed back into Nurse Samantha. Zoso was pissed. His lover was being jealous. “Charade go back out. We’ll be there in a minute.” The Metamorph left. Zoso looked Dennis in the eye “Look, I know it’s a lot to take in, but we have to act fast. The magic I have placed here will be gone soon. All will be explained later, but I need your help and I need to know if I can count on the most handsome knight in all the realms.” Zoso smiled. Dennis was speechless but nodded yes. “Good!” Zoso said. My stays here on Earth are limited for now. I need you here to help me out. The first two things I need you to do is open a bank account and buy a Lake House in Cincinnati for me.” As he was telling Dennis all this, Zoso opened the closet and took out a plastic bag that had the clothes Dennis came in with. He gave them to Dennis, who took them and started getting dressed. “Jacob, do you have more…Healing Potions? I know so many who are dying...” Zoso cut him off saying “I’m afraid not. Potions like that are hard to come by even for one such as myself.” As he was putting on his shoes, Dennis said “what about Resurrection? Can you bring someone back? Patrick, my Lover, died two months ago.” He looked up to Zoso with pleading eyes. Zoso came over and put both hands on his ex’s shoulders and said “It’s possible, but Dennis it’s a life for a life. I know how you feel but believe me the dead should stay dead.” There was a very short but pregnant silence broken up by Charade entering the room again as Nurse Samantha, only to change into a black middle-aged woman. “She’s coming around the corner and almost saw me”. “Ok let’s go! Zoso said as he took Dennis’s hand and lead him out of the room. The three men casually walked out the door, passing the real Nurse Samantha along the way. Dennis and the nurse looked directly at each other, but she didn’t even bat an eye. “Yea about that, I had to make it so that all who knew you have forgotten you. I can’t have someone looking into how a man with a terminal illness suddenly got cured. “ Dennis shook his head. “It doesn’t matter. All my friends died in the last few months”. “Not all Dennis. Our Saturday night gaming group is still alive,
68 just held…prisoner for the time being. But we’re going to free them.” Dennis looked bewildered by it all as they walked out to the parking lot. “But how am I going to do the things you want? Do you have the money? “Zoso smiled at this and took out a velvet pouch and opened it. Inside were golden coins, minted with a face Dennis had seen before. “Are those Atlantean coins? Like in the game?? “ Zoso laughed saying “They certainly are and there are many more of those for you. You’re going to take those to a collector I know and he’s going to give you a good amount for them. They got up to the car and as they were getting in Dennis asked “You said they are prisoners. Who imprisoned them? Zoso’s face turned serious for just a second and said “Jeremy” Dennis didn’t know exactly what that all entailed, but he was not surprised to learn this. The twins, Gene and Jeremy, were always at odds There are two gateways into the Dreamlands, the gates of horn and ivory. The Gate of Horn is bodily entrance to the Dreamlands.
