“Develop a passion for learning. If you do, you will never cease to grow.”
Anthony J. D’Angelo

It gives me immense pleasure to know that Sainik School Rewa is
bringing out the next issue of its Annual Magazine ‘Reflexion’ for the year 2020-21.

Sainik School Rewa has been constantly striving hard to achieve great
heights in the past few decades. The school provides a congenial environment for
cadets to join NDA/NA and serve the nation.

I am hopeful that the relentless efforts of the staff and cadets will pay
rich dividends in the future and the cadets of this school will be able to set new
benchmarks in their pursuit for Academic Excellence.

I am sanguine that the impetus to improve the infrastructure will
facilitate the school to provide requisite environment to mould the young cadets
into responsible citizens.

My felicitations and best wishes to the Principal, Staff and Cadets in
all their future endeavours.

2020-21

INTRODUCTION
It gives me profound honour and utmost

satisfaction to present the School Annual Report for the
Academic Session 2020-21. The session was resplendent with
team-de-spirit, epitomizing synergy of all the stakeholders in
the pursuit for Overall Excellence.

PRELUDE
As we all know, since the year gone by, an invisible threat - NOVEL

CORONAVIRUS has caused an upheaval of humungous proportions but school
ecosystem resonated with equanimity and all the stakeholders - the faculty, the
parents and last but the most important element - the cadets rose up to the
challenge and adopted to online teaching - learning pedagogy with equal élan.

NDA
It is a matter of immense pride that 10 (ten) cadets joined 144-145th

Course of National Defence Academy and 106-107th course of Indian Naval
Academy. To add cherry to the success, one girl cadet joined Officers Training
Academy through the Graduate Technical Entry Scheme.

ACADEMIC RESULT
The cadets imbibed the lesson that if they develop a passion for

learning they never cease to grow and excelled in the Academic Curricula. Post
New Assessment Policy of CBSE both Class X and Class XII Boards results were
cent percent.

CO-SCHOLASTIC ACTIVITIES
Unhindered by online mode of imparting education, the all-round

personality of cadets was groomed and various literary and non-literary activities
including English and Hindi Essay, Elocution, English and Hindi Debate, Sanskrit
Shloka, Painting, Yoga and Best out of Waste - Intra and Inter School
Competitions were organised.

NCC

NCC training for both Junior Division and Senior Division were

conducted virtually and the 'A' and 'B' Certificate Exams were conducted in

“If you think your teachers are tough, wait ‘til you get a boss.” — Bill Gates Réflexion 11
2020-21

physical mode. Cadet Anand Niwas and Cdt Somesh Tiwari were judged as
Best Cadets of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh NCC Directorate.

NTSE
Two of our cadets, Cadet Aman Khan and Cadet Shubham Sahu

brought laurels by qualifying for the prestigious National Talent Search
Examination, NCERT Stage-2.

SSB
Besides the routine grind, the cadets underwent the entire gamut of

Service Selection Board Procedure, training by ex-Presidents SSB –
Maj Gen MP Singh, Cmde Amar Singh Baghel, Maj Gen PN Tripathi, AVSM,
VSM, for Interview Leg, Capt (IN) Bhupendra Joshi, Technical Officer, SSB for
Psychological Leg and Col Vijayant Mahadik, ex-GTO for GTO Leg.

As I conclude, I am reminded of Robert Frost's

"Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening"
'The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.'

Jai Hind.
