Alhamdulillah praise be to Allah. It is both an
honour and a pleasure to have the 2021 Digital
Technova Arena coming into reality. After all the
obstacles with the pandemic and uncertainties,
this programme has finally taken place. Let me
extend my heartfelt congratulations to MRSM
Taiping for organising this inaugural event.

In today’s challenging digital world, nearly every

career requires digital communication at some

point, so equipping students with the skills to

effectively communicate and collaborate

creatively is the key to their futures.

Computational thinking at its core is a problem-

solving process that can be used by everyone, in a

variety of content areas and everyday contexts.

The 2021 Digital Technova Arena with the motto
‘Experience the world of technology’ is designed
to encourage and create the awareness of the
fastest growing career field which is computing.
Computational thinking has been increasingly
embraced as a reformation in STEM education.

Computation thinking helps build skills that all
levels of learner need, including confidence in
dealing with complexity, persistence in working
with difficult problems, and the ability to deal
with open-ended problems.

It is with the aim that computational thinkers make
the leap from consumers to creators who are
problem solvers and innovators that this event was
created for students to take part.

Words of Wisdom by Principal of MRSM Taiping

Assalamualaikum and a very auspicious day I bid to
all,

First, I wish to extend a warm welcome to all 55
participating MRSMs for this pioneering event, 2021
Digital Technova Arena. This programme is a great
initiative by Secondary Education Division with the
objectives mainly to benefit students in exposing
them to grab computational thinking skills. Being
digitally literate is a crucial skill in today’s world. It
is no doubt that all Z-generation students are true
digital natives. Considering that Malaysia is
unstoppably growing as a digital country, this
programme will unlock the full potential of our
students in this increasingly globalised and
technology-transforming world.

There were 9 competitions altogether that had
been done via online starting from 6 August to 16
August 2021. Hat’s off to all participants and
teacher advisorsfor their endless commitment and
patience in producing great projects. Thank you,
BPM, for choosing MRSM Taiping. We are honoured
and humbled to serve as the host for this first ever
Science Computer event. I wish the benefits
fostered in this event would not end here but will
flourish into positive chain reactions to produce
holistic students who excel in the field of science
and technology.

Lastly, not to forget, special thanks to all MRSM
Taiping 2021 Digital Technova Arena committees
who have worked so hard in ensuring the success of
this event throughout the whole month. Without all
the collaborations and creativity, this event will not
be as grandeur. Great job, everyone!
