are so excited to start. But first, let
see how materials in OneNote are

organized.

HOW MATERIALS
ORGANIZED IN ONENOTE

The materials in OneNote application is organized into notebooks, section
and pages. The notebook is like a physical notebook but in digital format. You
will have a few notebooks depending on your necessities. You can make
each notebook specific for a type of content. For example, you have a
notebook about cooking so you name it as cooking recipe. Then, you also
make a notebook about your work, so you name it as works notebook. All of
this depends on the user themselves on how they want to organized the
content. In the notebook, there will be section and pages. Your note can be
grouped in which section and pages that you want. For example, the
notebook named cooking recipe. Then, you put the section title as dessert.
After that, you will write the recipe in the pages. That is how the content in
OneNote notebook divided.

As you have read, materials in
OneNote can be divided into
Notebook, Section and Pages.
So, let us start with create a
notebook and divide it into section

and pages.

NOTE CREATING

• To create a new notebook, click on the add notebook at the bottom of
the left section. Then, fill the name of the notebook and click create
notebook.

• After finish, you will see the new notebook that you just created at the
left section.

• When a notebook had been created, there will be section 1
automatically inside the notebook. To change the title of the section,
right click and choose rename section. Then, you name the section
according to what you want.

• After that, you can add the content in the page. Type the title at the top
of the note and it will be the title of the page. To add section and page,
you can click add section or add page at the bottom part.

Next, you can start to add content to
the notebook and put in any section

and pages that you want.

So, let us see the tools available in
OneNote and start writing and

The function in the top bar is quite similar to Words or any other
Microsoft Tools so it is easy to use. The additional function is like
draw where you can hand-written note if you use device like
mobile phone or tab.

But doesn’t it look bored if it is only
words? So then, why not insert some

pictures and videos in your note.

 INSERT PICTURES AND VIDEOS

If you want to attach a picture to your note, go to insert at the top bar. Then,
select pictures. You can choose either from file, camera or online. You can
also insert picture from online. To do so, click from online to choose any
online pictures.

If you want to insert online picture, click on the from online button. Then,
type the picture you want in the search space and click search. From the
search result, you can choose any picture to attach on the note by clicking
on the picture.

After you had chosen, the picture will be attached on your note. You can
adjust the place of the picture in the note by dragging the picture. You can
also rescaling the picture into a bigger size or a smaller size.

To insert video, there are two methods available. One is that you insert from
your device and the other one is from online video. To insert video from
device, click to attach file. and choose one video from the device. Then, a
box will appear and you need to choose ether to insert as link or as
attachment.

• To insert online video, you need to click online video at the top and
paste the link of the video. The other way is to copy link from video and
paste on the note’s space. Then, the video will be shown in the note.
User can play the video just in OneNote. There is no need to open it in
a new browser.

How is it? It’s fun right? That way,
your note will be more attractive and
you do not need to open video using

other application.

picture or video that can be attached

to the note but also pdf, link and
sicker.

 ATTACH PDF, LINK AND STICKER

To import pdf file into the note, click insert and select file. Then, choose the
file that you want to insert in the note. After you click your file, there will be a
box appear in which you need to choose how you want the file to appear in
your note. Each type will appear differently in the note.

If you choose the first option, a link will appear in the note. To open the file,
you need to click on the link. If you choose the second option, you will see
the pdf file attach at the note. You need to click on the attachment to open
the file. Both these options will open the file in pdf viewer.

While for the third option, you will see the content in the pdf file appear on
the note make it seems like the note that was made in OneNote. So, you
can read the content in this notebook without needing to open pdf.

Note in OneNote can also be attached with stickers. To attach a sticker, click
on the sticker button on the top and choose any available sticker that you
want. The sticker then will appear in the note.

when you attach the link and the link address.

DIGITAL INKING

Digital ink is supported by OneNote and it makes its possible to have
handwritten text on your notes. Having digital ink is very useful especially if
you want to make quick notes by labelling or circle the important part. You
will also feel more like writing or drawing on a piece of paper and make you
feel more comfortable.

There are few types of pen with different styles and thickness. You can

to shape or to text and also for maths equation.

can make you feel much comfortable
and freedom in writing your notes.

Aside from that, the notes that you
write using the digital ink feature
can also be converted either to

shape, text or mathematics
equation.
