Uninvited Guest
There was a door. Granted, it was a small door, but still it still
freaked out Johnny. Johnny was downstairs in his basement
getting something, but since he saw this door he forgot what he
was getting. He went to go tell his parents about this and they just
brushed it off.
“But it really creeps me out. Can you just go check it?”
Eventually his parents agreed after a while of him asking. His
parents went downstairs to check out this door and they went to
turn the knob and it opened. But no Beast was in there, it was just
a brick wall.
“Well, we might miss our flight if we wait any longer. So if my
big tough 17 year old can handle this door, I guess we better
leave,” said his mom. His parents had won a trip to Hawaii for two
and the flight was leaving soon.
Johnny just said, “Okay mom, I love you bye.”
As his parents left Johnny flopped onto the couch and started
to watch TV. He sat there for awhile and decided to go to bed. As
Johnny went to bed he heard some shuffling and noise from
downstairs, so he went down to investigate the door. The door
was there and he stared directly at it. A car passed the window
just as he looked at it. His heart was pounding. He was sure he
had seen the doorknob turn. He shouted and threw a chair in front
of the door. He pulled another chair from across the room and
decided to sit there for the whole night just sitting there.
The next day, Johnny woke up, “I guess I didn’t stay up the
whole night,” he said as he got up. He went to go get ready and he
heard the same sounds he did yesterday. He went to go check on
the door and it was wide open with scratch marks all over it. There
was stuff flown all across the room.
The whole basement was really dark. All he could see in the
dark basement was a small light in the back of the basement. As
he stepped closer he realized there were two lights. Then they
moved directly at him. He screamed as he could make out the
outline of two hands with sharp claw-like fingers and a small body.
He grabbed the biggest thing he could find at the moment, which
was a blanket, and threw it on the Beast. As soon as he did that he
bolted up the stairs and hid in the closet. The Beast came upstairs
and it tore apart all it could see.
Johnny was trying to muffle his breath, but the Beast could
still hear him. The Beast came over and started scratching at the
door. Just then Johnny thought up a plan. The second the door
would be scratched through, he would bust through and kick the
Beast across the room. Then he would go to the kitchen and grab
a knife. But once the Beast got into the closet the plan got a little
tricky. The Beast grew 10 times its old size and it had huge claws.
The Beast scratched at him but missed and it’s claws met with
the metal bars in the closet. It broke one of them off. The Beast
writhed back in pain and made the worse sound Johnny’s ears
have ever heard. Just then Johnny had another idea. He grabbed
the claw and stabbed it into the Beast. But it didn’t do anything. He
tried to pull it out, but the claw melted into the monster. It still
backed up, but he still needed some room to get out. He kicked
the Beast in the chest and he sprinted through and grabbed a knife
from the kitchen. The Beast came in and Johnny threw the knife
right into the beast’s head. The beast made a shriveling noise and
Johnny held his ears it hurt so much. Just as the Beast was
melting into the floor Johnny ran down to the basement to check
the door. Johnny could see the Beast dripping from the ceiling and
flowing back into the door. Once the last drop went into the door
the door slammed shut. Johnny jumped as it closed. The next day
Johnny’s parents came home while he was asleep and screamed.
Johnny jumped up and yelled, “WHAT IS IT!”
The house was a mess and they didn’t like it that way. They
decided to ground Johnny until he cleaned up the house. Johnny
went downstairs to make it look nice because it was all destroyed
and the door was just gone. He went upstairs and started cleaning
up there too but then he saw on the door, written in blood, “THIS ISN’T
OVER”.
