THE ORLANDO HEALTH WAY

HOW ORLANDO HEALTH IS WORKING TO ASSURE, ENGAGE
AND UNITE TO BUILD BETTER RELATIONSHIPS WITH PATIENTS

Several years ago, Orlando Health Chief Operating Officer
Jamal Hakim, MD, sent an email that would launch a
new chapter for Orlando Health. That email detailed a
customer service experience Hakim had with his son
when purchasing hockey socks. Ultimately, the story
highlighted how Orlando Health needed to dig
deeper, think differently and reimagine how to
engage with patients.
As a result, Orlando Health has embarked on a journey
to create more meaningful relationships with patients
— an approach called the Orlando Health Way.
“The Orlando Health Way is about creating deeper,
more personal relationships with our patients,” says
Ken Kozielski, Vice President, Customer Experience at
Orlando Health. “We want to assure patients that we
have their best interest in mind and that we not only
