KT Book July-Sep'20 (print copy)

KT Book July-Sep'20 (print copy)

We take care of their essential needs so these things don’t have to be
sought after by them. There are other times we give things to them because
it pleases us. It doesn’t have to be for a special occasion or
accomplishment. We love our children, so we gift things to them for that
reason alone. Seeing their eyes light up and how happy they are makes us
happy as well.

As our children progress in age, our relationship dynamic shifts a little.
We may not hover over them as often as we did when they were younger,
but the level of accessibility and availability hasn’t changed.
They may not need “things”, but just want to talk about what’s on their
minds so that we can provide comfort, wisdom, and guidance. They may
have to call our name out, go check the backyard, or knock on our
bedroom door. If we are not home, they can give us a call. Either way, they
keep looking for us until we are found.

The same is true of God and our relationship with Him. There are some
things we have to ask and seek if we have hope of attaining them. He
wants us to talk with Him, tell Him what is on our heart and mind.
He wants us to see that He is a good Father and will take of us. We may
not always see or feel His presence, but He is always accessible and
available to us. It is our responsibility to seek God, His Kingdom, and His
righteousness. By doing so, all things that we need are provided.

SEEDS
➢ Genesis 1:26-27 So God created man in his own image, in the
image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful,
and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have
dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air,
and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
➢ Matthew 5:13-16 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have
lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth
good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under
foot of men. 14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set
on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and
put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light
unto all that are in the house.16 Let your light so shine before
men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your
Father which is in heaven.
➢ Matthew 16:19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of
heaven, and whatever you bind on earth [a]will be bound in
heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in

ILLUMINATION
There is a story about an elderly couple who won a raffle which included
a free cruise. They packed up a small bundle, went to the dock and
boarded the ship. The couple wandered around the decks of the ship
taking everything in, the sight being so beautiful. They were shown their
cabin and it was like paradise to them! Excited to be there, they took out
their crackers, cheese, packets of Kool-Aid and looked out the window
while they ate. Occasionally they would peep out the door and look at
the well-dressed passengers thinking, “this is amazing”! After several
days an assistant knocked at their door and saw them eating their snacks
on the floor. Confused, he asked to see their tickets. He asked “Did you
ever read your ticket? You had full access to everything on the ship and
its amenities for free!” But by this time, it was too late. The cruise was
over. They had missed out on the entire experience and everyone they
were supposed to meet.

Believe it or not there are believers who are like this elderly couple. They

are so excited to be “on the ship” and they stop right there. They sit, idly

them by. Not only are they not experiencing the fullness of the Kingdom,
they are also not operating within their sphere of influence. There were
things that they could have experienced, but it required action on their
part. As citizens of the Kingdom, it is necessary to not only see what we
have access to, but also what is required of us. This couple has received a
treasure. Instead of seeking more information, managing their days,
making connections, or taking that gift and maximizing the fullness of it,
they diminished it’s value. You must seek God and ask Him what is it
that He needs you to do in this season. At a minimum, we must be the
vessels that show forth God’s goodness and glory! We can’t just be
recipients without being workers for the greater good of the Kingdom.

Duties & Responsibilities: To Man

SEEDS
➢ 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some
men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing
that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

his appearing and his kingdom; 2 Preach the word; be instant

suffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they
will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall
they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And
they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be
turned unto fables. 5 But watch thou in all things, endure
afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy
ministry.
➢ Matthew 28:18-20 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying,
All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye

the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching

Ways to Extend God to Man

1. Hear Me Out: Listening is a great way to reach someone. Sometimes
knowing someone is there. Take some time to call a family member
you normally don’t converse with on the phone and talk with them.
Before you get off the phone, offer prayer.

2. Dig It Out: Create questions and put them in a bowl. Questions can
range from silly to get everyone warmed up to serious to hear
thoughts on important topics. Find time in your day to invite your
family to sit in a circle with the question bowl in the middle. Take
turns pulling and answering questions. Leave room for open
discussion. This activity will leave room for you to see where you and
your family are on certain things and will give you new strategies and
topics on what to pray about

CRM Kingdom Training Jul-Sep’20 57

3. Positive Patty: It’s easy to get caught up in gossip or lean into
negativity. This week, instead of engaging in conversations that are
comfortable, challenge others by changing a negative into a positive

ILLUMINATION
Free Hugs and Prayer! This was a campus evangelism movement that
changed the lives of many individuals, to include my own. In this process,
we learned that reaching the lost, or restoring hope to the hopeless was
more than a brief conversation about God; it was about making a true
connection. Evangelism is more than just preaching Jesus. It is teaching
Jesus by representing Him with your life.

So many times through this activity, we met individuals who just wanted
to have a conversation about things that bothered them. When some cried,
our hug was there to embrace them to provide comfort and solace. When
they were confused or frustrated, prayer was then offered to help guide
them through difficult decisions and thought processes. With it all, we
learned that it is difficult to reach those whom you know little about. It is
hard to plant a seed if you do not know the need someone possesses. We
went from shouting “Free Hugs and Prayer” and being denied multiple
times, to stopping someone to say “Hey! That smile looks good on you.
What is the cause of it?” From there, conversations arose and people left
with more than they bargained for. We were able to identify with
individuals from different backgrounds and religions just by being in the
midst like Jesus did. We were able to be in the crowds of unbelievers while
representing Christ.

Free Hugs and Prayer went from a once a week evening activity, to a
lifestyle. Whether it was outside on the way to class, or conversing during
dinner time, we were always ready to offer a free hug or prayer. God
showed us that it’s a life that we can't just talk about, but a life we have to
live out loud, even if there isn’t a crowd around. We learned to hear the
needs of God’s people, whether it is by verbal communication between
man, or spiritual communication from God, so that we could plant the
seeds.

How can we apply what we’ve learned from this lesson and apply it to
our daily lives:
1. You cannot defend what you do not understand. Make sure that you

study the word of God daily. (Scripture: 2 Timothy 2:15)
2. Walk after the spirit! Remember we are Kingdom Citizens so we

fight in the spirit realm. Prayer is essential! We learn spiritual
strategy in prayer, therefore prayer is the key. (Scripture: I
Thessalonians 5:16-18)
3. Self Reflection! How do you follow the King’s Laws (His
commandments)? Do honest self-evaluation and focus on laws that
are areas of difficulty in your life. (Scripture: Exodus 20:1-17)

ILLUMINATION
We must always remember that we should always defend or fight for
what we believe in. In the natural we walk, march and riot when we are
violated because we desire to see change. We walk in the spirit by way of
prayer and intercession and this is how we fight against opposing forces
that violates us hindering change in our lives. Just like we believe in the
“power of the people” to affect change concerning our civic rights in the
United States, in the same essence we believe in the “power of the
Kingdom” to affect change concerning our civic rights as citizens of the
Kingdom.

We defend the constitutional rights of our people when they are violated.
Likewise, we fight in the realm of the spirit against strongholds and
generational curses that have violated us spiritually. The bible says in 1
Corinthians 15:46 (NIV) concerning man, “The spiritual did not come first,
but the natural, and after that the spiritual.” Being that we are dual citizens,
we must understand how to function and operate as such. Oftentimes we
usually operate in one more than the other which causes us to be
unbalanced.

CRM Kingdom Training Jul-Sep’20 62

Naturally, we have the responsibility to fight for rights and to defend
those who are being mistreated. Spiritually we have the responsibility to
defend the gospel by not compromising, and by standing on the Word of
God even when it’s uncomfortable or cause us to face persecution.
Defending the Kingdom requires a level of boldness! In the book of Acts
where the church was established, many of the Apostles experienced a
great deal of persecution. It required a great deal of boldness for them to
defend the gospel knowing the extensive amount of persecution they
would face. Acts 4:29 (NIV), “Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable
your servants to speak your word with great boldness.” We must gird ourselves
up with the Armor of God, and all times be prepared to defend the faith,
with God-given boldness and power!

APPENDIX

Christ Preached the Kingdom!

The message that Christ preached was “The Kingdom”! Here are passages found
in gospel of Matthew alone, as well as in the book of Acts (after His resurrection).

Matthew 4:17
From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at
hand”
Matthew 4:23
And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel
of the Kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the
people.
Matthew 5:1-3
And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his
disciples came unto him: 2. And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying, 3.
Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 5:10
Blessed are thy which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of
heaven.
Matthew 6:9-13
After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy
name. 10. They kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11. Give us
this day our daily bread. 12. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13. And
lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the
power, and the glory, for ever, Amen.
Matthew 6:26
Behold the fowls of the air: for thy sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns;
yet your heavenly
Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
Matthew 6:33
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be
added unto you.

CRM Kingdom Training Workbook Jul-Sep’20 65

Matthew 10:5
These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the
Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
Matthew 10:7
And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Matthew 13:19
When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh
the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which
received seed by the wayside.
Matthew 13:31-33
Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain
of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field: 32. Which indeed is the least of
all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so
that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof. 33. Another parable spake
he unto them: The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in
three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.
Matthew 13:44-48
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man
hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth
that field. 45. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly
pearls: 46. Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he
had, and bought it. 47. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into
the sea, and gathered of every kind: 48. Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and
sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.
Matthew 16:19
And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt
bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be
loosed in heaven.
Matthew 16:28
Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till
they see the son of man coming in his kingdom.
Matthew 24:14
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all
nations: and then shall the end come.
Acts 1:3
To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being
seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God

The Armor of God

PIECE OF USE APPLICATION
ARMOR Truth
Satan fights with lies, and sometimes his lies
BELT Righteousnes sound like truth; but only believers have God’s
“GIRD s truth, which can defeat Satan’s lies.
YOUR
WAIST” Readiness to The devil often attacks our heart—the seat of
BREASTPLA Spread the our emotions, self-worth and trust. God’s
Good News righteousness is the breastplate that protects
TE our heart and ensures His approval. He
Faith approves of us because He loves us and sent
FOOTGEAR His Son to die for us.
Salvation Satan wants us to think that telling others the
SHIELD Word or God Good News is a worthless and hopeless task—
the size of the task is too big and the negative
HELMET responses are too much to handle. But the
footgear God gives us is the motivation in God
SWORD - news everyone needs to wear.
What we see are Satan’s attacks in the form of
insults, setbacks, and temptation. But the
shield of faith protects us from Satan’s fiery
darts. With God’s perspective, we can see
beyond our circumstances and know that
ultimate victory is ours.
Satan wants to make us doubt God, Jesus, and
our salvation. The helmet protects our mind
from doubting God’s saving work for us.
The sword is the only weapon of offense in this
list of armor. There are times when we need to
take the offensive against Satan. When we are
tempted, we need to trust in the truth of God’s
Word.

And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain
upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.

For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak,
and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will
not tarry. (Habakkuk 2:2-3)

I am forever grateful to be
blessed with such a loving and
supportive church family who
continues to be a source of
strength and inspiration.

In 2019, Holy Spirit lead me to
create quarterly lessons for our
Kingdom Training classes and to
make preparations to create our own KT book in the near future. Being
weaned from the Union Press Sunday School book which had been a
part of my life and ministry for over forty years was truly a leap of faith.
With the help and support of our KT teachers, we successfully carried
out the assignment.

I am delighted to present this book “The Sower”. It is the vision
speaking!

A special thank you to our director of Kingdom Education (Kasia
Howard), her support team (Bessie McDaniel and Verna Francois) and
all of our Kingdom Training teachers.

The best is yet to come.
