Foreword

Citizenship defined:

Citizenship is the status of a person recognized under the custom or law as being a legal
member of a sovereign state or belonging to a nation. The idea of citizenship has been
defined as the capacity of individuals to defend their rights in front of the governmental
authority. Wikipedia

When we talk about citizenship, we talk about our identity. Our
citizenship plays a major role in shaping who we are, what we value,
what is important to us, and how we live.

I am currently a citizen of the United Kingdom by naturalization and
working towards dual citizenship with the United States. The United
Kingdom (UK) is ruled by Queen Elizabeth II. I am subject to all the rules
and regulations of the kingdom and enjoy all the benefits it brings. I can
be easily identified as soon as I begin to speak. My passport also
identifies me and gives me access to certain privileges and rights as a
British Citizen. In this COVID’19 pandemic season, if I were unable to
make it back to the UK, the government would be obliged to secure my
safe return to the UK if I so desired. Now living and residing in the USA,
I must now learn its nuances to fully assimilate into having a full life
experience.

In comparison, the Kingdom of Heaven is ruled by The King of all Kings.
His Kingship supersedes any earthly King or Queen. Becoming a
Kingdom Citizen is not something you are physically born into or gain
by obtaining a visa. You must choose it yourself, learn how to live as
royalty, and access it with all the benefits of being a King’s kid, all while
still living and operating in the physical world as a representative of the
Kingdom of God.

As a Kingdom Citizen you should be easily identified as soon as you
begin to speak. People should ask, “you look like me but don’t sound
like me”, “where are you from?” Your characteristics, attire and hope for
the future should also make you more identifiable.

CRM Kingdom Training Jul-Sep’20 3

The aim of this book is to navigate you through the laws, principles, and
benefits of being a true Kingdom Citizen. Each lesson is geared towards
equipping you to be an effective Kingdom Citizen by knowing your
rights, obligations, and position. It will advise you of the guiding
principles to remain Kingdom focused and how to reap the benefits of
becoming a Kingdom Citizen and speak its language (bi-lingual).

You will learn how to:
• Identify and access your rights as a kingdom citizen (Ephesians
2:19) (Hebrews 13:14)
• Exercise your authority as an ambassador for Christ in your
sphere of influence
• What does a representative of a citizenship look like?
• Change the atmosphere around you with the climate of heaven
• Develop a renewed sense of belonging to a culture that reflects
the very essence and nature of God while still living and
functioning here on earth.
• How to fully integrate into the culture of heaven
• How to represent God in the earth

Are you ready to experience life as a citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven?
Then let’s get our passports ready and explore dual citizenship. Being in
the world but not of it, an Ambassador for Christ.

LET’S GROW TOGETHER
1. Change your mind! As we journey through these lessons, we must

remember Christ’s message, “repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at
hand”!

a. The first place to start is asking God to open your mind to a
new way of thinking so that you can fully realize your
potential as a Kingdom Citizen

2. Learn the Constitution!
a. The bible is the Constitution of the Kingdom. It contains
everything we need to know about the King, the Kingdom
and citizenship
b. Choose a topic you wish you learn more about. Study it and
take notes.
c. Set a time for daily reading for at least 30 minutes.

ILLUMINATION
What can we do to enhance the Kingdom of God? Allowing God to reign
upon the earth has significant aspects. Taking the necessary steps to learn

CRM Kingdom Training Jul-Sep’20 7

about the Kingdom is commendable. We must leave the religious mindset
of how we did things in the past. As Kingdom Citizens, we must learn to
cultivate more of our Kingdom rights. Faith is essential for Kingdom
activation. We are first saved into the Kingdom of God, then moved by
His power and His glory. Many have been living beneath their rights and
potential for way too long. It is time to realize we are a Kingdom Citizen
and operate with a Kingdom Mindset! We are given the Kingdom
Constitution for our daily instructions on how to govern ourselves
accordingly. As God’s chosen people, we are to formulate a greater unity
for the body of Christ. There is a demand in the Kingdom, and we must
use our testimony and conversation with God to direct others to Him.

Learning to pray, speak, teach, and do God's will is new to some and an
enhancer for others. One can never stop learning or experiencing the
things the Kingdom has to offer. To experience the Kingdom, one must
learn the Constitution (bible). The Constitution is the foundation to fulfill
the purposes of God. To be in the Kingdom of God, Jesus compared it to
parables in which many could understand. Sadly, many will not
understand because their hearts have grown hard. In Matthew 13:31-32,
"He set another parable before them, saying, "The Kingdom of Heaven is like a
grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field; which indeed is
smaller than all seeds. However, when it is grown, it is greater than the herbs and
becomes a tree so that the birds of the air come and lodge in its branches."
We must be like the disciples, proclaiming the gospel and encouraging
other believers to strengthen their faith. We must press through the
hardships to obtain the inheritance, but moreover, remember to enjoy the
benefits of the Kingdom of God.

1. Have you declared independence?

a. Are there areas of your life that you have not allowed God to

b. Are there people or things that you place as a priority before
God and the work of the Kingdom?

c. Do a self-examination and ask God to reveal to you all the
areas of your life that he does not have full Lordship.

d. Continue to seek Him and the ways of the Kingdom through
prayer and studying of His Constitution.

ILLUMINATION

The wealthier a kingdom is, the more glorious it is. One way kingdoms

seek to gain wealth is by expanding its territory through colonization. It

allows a king to have ownership of a distant land while maintaining full

jurisdiction over it. It is not enough to have claim over an area.

CRM Kingdom Training Jul-Sep’20 12

Colonization includes control, but also as important, it includes impact
and influence. Colonization causes evident, transformative change within
a region. The new territory should mirror the laws, values and culture of
the home country.

The same is true as it comes to the Kingdom of Heaven extending its
territory. God wanted to extend His invisible realm of influence to the
physical earth. What other king can attest to that? What an awesome
display of His glory! Colonization takes place in us as individuals first.
Our bodies, being made of the earth, are individual colonies of the
Kingdom of Heaven. When we accept Jesus Christ as our personal savior,
we agree to come under Kingdom Lordship. Our earthly, physical vessels
are ruled by the spiritual influence of the Kingdom. We are transformed,
with a new way of thinking and speaking. We are endued with power and
authority. Our lives mirror the laws, values, and culture of the Home
Country. Wherever we stand, the Kingdom of Heaven is present.

With this evident, transformative change within us as individuals, we are
then able to make transformative change to our areas of influence. Every
decision we make should be governed by the Kingdom. With every action
we take, it should be to bring glory to the King. As Kingdom Citizens, we
are now in right standing to call heaven’s will down to earth. Through
remote rulership, the influence of the Kingdom is spread throughout the
earth. As we exhibit the attributes of our King on the earth, we draw others
who will become citizens as well. That is how we walk in dominion and
through us, the Kingdom of Heaven gains more territory. To God be the
glory!

ILLUMINATION
In the United States, the title of owner refers to one who has full legal rights
to a property. If the owner has not given permission for a someone to be on
their property, that person is considered a trespasser. If the trespasser
occupies a place that legally belongs to someone else that person is deemed
by law to be a squatter. The root of the term squatting means to compel or
thrust down with force. These entities literally force their occupancy and
attempts to take up residency without legal claim. Squatters illegally possess
property and treat it as if they are the owner. This is primarily true when
property is unoccupied.

Everything in a Kingdom belongs to the King. This includes us as citizens of
the Kingdom. We are the property of the Kingdom of Heaven. Anything that
attempts to usurp authority over a territory is an enemy of that kingdom. No
earthly king would ever allow an enemy to encroach upon their domain
without a fight and the King of Heaven is no different! As the King’s Royal
Representatives in the earthly colony, we are bestowed with both the power
and authority of the King! Anything that attempts control or authority that is
outside of God is an illegal trespasser on God’s territory. He has given us the
legal right and responsibility to serve an eviction notice.

Walking in this authority is not a passive role. Any area that is not governed
by the King and His Constitution leave empty spaces for the enemy to squat
on. Once we have evicted the enemy, we must fill that space with the Spirit of
God. If not, the trespasser will return to the empty property and the eviction
process will be harder (Matthew 12:44-45). We must be Spirit-filled! Every
day, we must fill ourselves up with the knowledge and presence of God and
His Spirit. Anything thing that tries to exalt itself against that knowledge we
are to evict it right away!

d. What is my inheritance?
e. Add your own questions and statements.
2. Take time to familiarize yourself with the Constitution of the United

3. Continue to develop your relationship with the King through constant

communication by prayer, through His Word, and the leading of the

ILLUMINATION
The Bible is filled with God’s words, thoughts, will and intent. The Bible
is the Constitution of the Kingdom of Heaven, and it will not change. The
Kingdom Constitution is a blueprint of how we behave and respond to
citizenship in the Kingdom. The more we read and apply the laws of the

CRM Kingdom Training Jul-Sep’20 22

biblical Constitution, the more successful and meaningful or lives will
become here on Earth.

We have been taught that our goal is to make to heaven one day. We must
remember that the Kingdom of Heaven is available to us now we can
dwell in it as Kingdom Citizens here on earth. We must not become a
passive, bystander of the Kingdom, but must use our duality as a
functioning citizen of the kingdom of earth that is leads by the Kingdom
of Heaven.

So how do we get to this point? We get there by reprogramming our
thoughts to accept the knowledge of the King and His kingdom. We must
remain “teachable and humble”, and allow reteaching in the simplest
form, (Matthew 18:3). We must trust the Royal Governor (Holy Spirit) as
the guiding force and connection to God. Think of the Holy Spirit as
special INTEL that will give the direction on how to become a productive
citizen in the Kingdom, (John 16:13). We must stay connected to the King
and seek His instruction daily so that His will can be done here on earth.

Access the King Daily!

1. Prayer is key. It is both a right and a privilege to be able to
communicate with the King. That is how we build relationship.
How can you fully understand someone you do not talk to
enough?

2. Read the Kingdom Constitution (the Bible). It is mind and heart
of our King. A great way to get to know Him is to read His what
He has said.

3. Seek Him for yourself. The King wants a personal relationship.
Developing secondhand relationships will limit your access to the
King.

CRM Kingdom Training Jul-Sep’20 27

ILLUMINATION
Once you have become a citizen of the Kingdom of God you not only have
full access to everything the King has, but also everything that the King is!
Citizenship is a covenant that you enter into. With this covenant, it is your
responsibility to read the Kingdom Constitution. By doing this, you gain
an understanding of what your rights are and get to know the essence of
the King you are now under. This is not the kind of King that will never
know your name or that you even exist though. This King wants to have
a personal relationship with each one of his citizens, but it is your job to
participate in the development of this new relationship and partnership.

It is too often that we depend on our pastors and religious leaders to carry
our relationship with the one we call our King. When you have a
secondhand relationship and knowledge of a person you are limited to the
opinions, interactions, and perspectives of someone else. You can only
know as much as that person knows. No relationship is the same amongst
people. Depending on someone else will always leave you with the short
end of the stick. Getting to know the King for yourself is how we build
that personal relationship that He desires. In this way, you gain an
understanding of all that He is, and all that you have access to through
Him.

1. When we become citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven, Jesus gives
us authority. “Behold I give you the authority to trample on
serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and
nothing shall by any means hurt you”, (Luke 10:19). What other
scriptures can you find to support this?
2. When you serve under a king in a kingdom, you have the power
to dominate your territory and manage your assignment. What
happens if you lose your position?

CRM Kingdom Training Jul-Sep’20 32

3. Take some time this week to find out what things have caused you
to walk in a “state of independence” and ignore the guidance of
the Royal Governor (Holy Spirit).
a. Write down your challenges and then exercise your
power through prayer using the Constitutional Law (the
Bible) to dominate that area.

ILLUMINATION
Let’s take a look at Adam’s life, he was the first human created to exercise
dominion on the Earth. Earth is a colony of Heaven and God’s presence
was there with Adam. After God created the first man: “He blessed them,
and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and
subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air,
and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” (Genesis 1:28). So we
see that God’s intention was for mankind to do what He did in Heaven,
which was to have dominion. Dominion is the power or right of governing
and controlling, sovereign authority.

But Adam fell from his dominion as a result of his disobedience. “And the
Lord God commanded the man, saying, of every tree of the garden thou mayest
feely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it:
for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. (Genesis 2:16-17)
(Genesis 3:6). Here you see the King giving a command and because
Adam did not obey the result was death, loss of his citizenship, and
dominion at the same time.

Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit (the Royal Governor) back once He
was resurrected (Acts 1:4). To bring the Kingdom of Heaven back on
Earth, the Holy Spirit would come to us, and power would vested in us.
If someone is vested with power or authority, it is officially given to him.
In other words, if something is vested in you, it means that it cannot be
taken away from you by a third party. However, we can see when reading
about Adam that we can lose power and authority when we disobey God
and declare our independence. I encourage you to utilize the power that
was vested in you for the Kingdom.

LET’S GROW TOGETHER
This week’s lesson was strategically created to aid in transforming our
minds from a stagnated religious mindset into the newness of a Kingdom
mindset. We were educated on our rights and resources as Kingdom
citizens as well as our responsibilities. As you think about the lesson,
answer the following questions.

1. Name at least one thing that you’ve experienced as a direct result
of your new life as a Kingdom Citizen.

2. Many believers fail to exercise all the rights the Kingdom affords
us. What new liberties will you exercise as a result of your
Kingdom citizenship?

3. “Purpose is the master of motivation and the mother of
commitment. It is the source of enthusiasm and the womb of
perseverance. Purpose gives birth to hope and instills the passion
to act”, (Dr. Myles Munroe). How will your knowledge of
Kingdom citizenship affect your approach and navigation in your
pursuit of purpose?

ILLUMINATION
Clayton grew up in a small rural town in North Carolina. He began to
play basketball and was pretty good. He watched basketball games on tv
and asked for a basketball goal for Christmas. He often dreamed of
making the varsity team and leading his team to countless victories. He
even dreamed of making the game-winning shot to win the state
championship. The tryouts were being held after school tomorrow and
Clayton was sure that he really wanted to find his place on the team. He
went to the tryouts and met the coach. The coach was very caring yet firm,
just like a father. Clayton gave it all he had. He put his heart and soul into
everything the coach asked. After the tryouts, the coach spoke to each

CRM Kingdom Training Jul-Sep’20 37

player individually. He gave Clayton a personal invitation to join and be
a part of the team. He explained to him that, “with this comes
responsibility and opportunity”. He explained that he chose him for a
reason and that there are things that he can do that no one else on the team
is capable of doing.

A few weeks passed and Clayton stopped running and missed a few
workouts. He never seemed to have time for basketball. At practice, he
began to fall behind, and soon he began to think that he didn’t have what
it takes. His coach pulled him aside one day and asked him if basketball
was worth pursuing. Clayton responded, “yes of course”. “Well live like
it! I chose you for very specific reasons. I see so much potential in you.
Everything that you need is already within you that you need but it is up
to you to focus and do the work”, said his coach. “Now let’s see you turn
this thing around”, coach said.
Everything that we need to be successful for the Kingdom, while living
here on earth is already within us. There are times where the distractions
of life can get us off course. God is saying, “I created you for a specific
purpose. I see you in ways you have not imagined. Everything I need you
to do is already within you. I just need you to trust Me and put My plan
for your life into action”. God wants us to step into the full realization of
our citizenship, both in privilege and responsibility. How will you pursue
your purpose now that you are a Kingdom Citizen?

The word “SPEECH” can be broken down into some simple but practical
steps that will assist in guiding what we say. The first and important thing
to do is pray for understanding and clarity in all things, especially when
it comes to our words.

Sincere: Is what you are about to say something sincere from your heart.
Purposeful: Pause before speaking and ask yourself “will my words be

beneficial”?

Encourage: Use yours words to uplift and give words of compassion.
Enlighten: Use your words to give someone insight or spiritual

knowledge.

Cover: Use your words to intercede and cover others in prayer.
Honest: Make sure your words are true, genuine, and accurate.

ILLUMINATION
Freedom of speech as it relates to our new freedom in Christ, gives us both
privilege and power when we use our words. The Bible gives us clear
guidelines to follow for what we should say, and when we should say it.
An example of knowing when to speak comes from the book of Esther.
Queen Esther could have exercised her freedom to refrain from speaking.
Addressing the king could have cost Esther her life but abstaining from

using her voice could have cost an entire nation lose theirs. In God’s
perfect timing, Esther chose to speak. As a result, her people were saved
from genocide.

As to how to speak, Ephesians 4:29 teaches us we are not to allow
malicious talk to come from our mouths. As extensions of the Kingdom of
Heaven, we are to speak things that edify and administer the King’s grace.
The Bible encourages us to speak truthfully, build up others and use our
mouths to praise and worship God. Because we are “free will” beings with
dual citizenship, we must use our words wisely and maturely so that it is
not our will, but the King’s will being done through the power of our
words.

Unit III

Kingdom Citizenship: Duties & Responsibilities

September 6th

Duties & Responsibilities: To God

SEEDS
➢ Matthew 22:36-40 Master, which is the great commandment in
the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy
God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy
mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the
second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the
prophets.
➢ John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments
➢ Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for
he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a
rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
➢ Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the
mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice,
holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed
by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that
good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

LET’S GROW TOGETHER
Wake up in the Kingdom!
1. Start your day seeking the Kingdom first with prayer
2. Before checking email, social media, or phone notifications, talk to

God first.
3. Thank Him for all that He has provided
4. Seek Him on what He needs for you to do. Ask Him “what is my

Kingdom assignment for today?”
5. Wait for a response
6. Put into action

ILLUMINATION

As parents we make ourselves available and accessible to our children.

When they are younger, they are constantly in our presence letting us

know what they need. If they are hungry, or sleepy, they make their

request known and we swoop right in to take care of them. Often times,

we give to our children without them having to ask for it. It is our

responsibility to provide food, clothing, and shelter for our children.
