How long have you been working with Emcure? I have been working with Emcure since 9th February 2009 as Admin Head – Emcure India Business. What is the one thing you like the most about Emcure? There are many, but if there is one thing that I think stands out are the People and the Work Culture here. It feels more like family working in here. What is the one of the best memory you have while you were working in Emcure? One night when I was asleep, one of my security guards called me at 3:00 A.M, and with a shivering voice he told me that there is a fire in the nearby premises. I instructed him over call and asked him to immediately visit the premises. At the same time, I left my residence as well to be at the site. I was very proud to see that my team had evacuated the entire staff from the nearby premises and the fire was extinguished. Which were the most challenging days/ assignments you had taken and you enjoyed the most? One of the most crucial time was when there was COVID, where I had to ensure along with my team that a safe environment within the premises and all the required protocols are followed. I was touched during the first meeting after COVID when one of the leaders from top management mentioned that he was very insecure coming to office but after seeing the arrangements and protocols followed he felt more secured in office. The same was appreciated by the leadership team as well. Mahavir Singh Dhankar Manager – Admin - HO How long have you been working with Emcure? I have been working since 20th November 1989 and it has been more than 33 Years with Emcure. What is the one thing you like the most about Emcure? I have spent a very long stint at Emcure and I have seen many phases and times how Emcure has emerged, but one thing that has always kept me going is that Emcure has always rewarded efforts and I am very proud to say that the house which I have built is EMI free and I have paid all through the incentives th,at I have received from Emcure. What is the one of the best memory you have while you were working in Emcure? One of the best memory that I have is during the initial days when I had joined, our CEO Mr. Satish Mehta joining us at Hotel Swaroop, Prabhat Road motivating the team and sharing his vision on how Emcure can become one of the Top Companies. Seeing the journey today I really feel that he has brought the company to the level at which we are today. Which were the most challenging days/ assignments you had taken and you enjoyed the most? I think, one of the most crucial days during COVID where there was a complete lockdown in the country, we were also initially working from home. The company gave us a lot of support and also provided PPE kits even when there was a shortage in the market, which I distributed to my internal team and in addition to that the hospitals as well. Many of the hospital staff personally thanked me and the organization too for this gesture. Raju Ekbote Regional Manager – Pharma, Solapur HQ SPOT LIGHT Employee 21

The Alarming Rise of Silent Heart Attacks Silent heart attacks are on the rise these days. Unlike typical heart attacks, these occur without prominent symptoms, making them difficult to detect. This lack of obvious warning signs can lead to delayed medical attention and increased complications. Silent heart attacks happen when blood flow to the heart is obstructed, causing damage without the usual chest pain or discomfort. Often mistaken for other ailments, they can go unnoticed and result in long-term harm, including an elevated risk of heart failure. The increasing prevalence of silent heart attacks underscores the need for proactive measures and regular health screenings. Embracing a healthy lifestyle, including a balanced diet, exercise, and stress management, plays a vital role in reducing heart disease risk. Recognizing subtle signs like fatigue or mild discomfort and seeking prompt medical care can be life-saving. Raising awareness, promoting early detection, and prioritizing heart health is crucial to address this growing and dangerous issue. By staying vigilant and taking preventive action, we can combat silent heart attacks and protect our well-being. 23
THE ADVENTURE TRAVEl VLOG My Travel Experience to USA It’s a long 16 hours journey from India (Mumbai) to USA (New York) via Nonstop flight. On arrival we were greeted with a huge immigration clearance queue and the whole process sounded too intimidating for the first time. We explored East Coast of America this time. Exploring Washington DC (Capital of USA), Philadelphia, Niagara Falls, Massachusetts (Harvard University) and New York. On a personal front, I enjoyed visiting Washington DC and Niagara Falls the most. In Washington, one must visit U.S. Capitol building (Parliament House) and a photograph is a must have outside the White House. Whatever be your age or interests, a trip to Washington DC will surely be a memorable one. Next comes Nature’s most enthralling wonder i.e. Niagara Falls where one can have a spectacular view of the falls from State Park. I would strongly recommend to take up the adventures like “Maid of the Mist“ (a boat ride will take you closer to the high current falls) and “Cave of the winds“ (one can take a walk just feet away from the base). USA is a very expensive country. As an Indian, we always tend to convert dollars to Indian rupee before shopping anything. It took me a few days to get rid of this habit and finally was able to shop around with a free mind. During the trip, I realized that America is one of the most culturally diverse country, with residents representing nearly every religion from the world, it is also a home to people from all around the world, there is no such thing as a typical American – this part of it makes USA such an interesting place. Trip certainly has made me a richer person internally!!!!! Though it was my third travel to the United States, it was my first vacation with family (enthusiastic wife and a passionate daughter) for about two weeks. We planned a lot for this trip like dollars conversion, mediclaim, international roaming, Uber and Lyft apps on mobile, warm clothes and lots of Indian snacks.
