3/17/2019 An old friend. scrapbook entry 1 - Google Docs
As a kid I was always moving around without a permanent home. It wasn't until 3rd grade when
we had finally settled down. Being younger it was easy to make friends but it was also a time
where everyone knew everyone in the school since it was a small community. So it wasn't easy
warming up to the kids. Now I don't remember it very well but there were two kids who first
approached me, their names being Carter, and Kaidon. Those two became my best friends.
They both lived on the same street as me and we always played games around the
neighbourhood together always. From games like tag to nerf wars with ours houses being our
home bases. We spent countless hours together, We spent early mornings running around, and
late nights talking about what to do next. Until Carter had to move away. In fifth grade Carter’s
parents wanted a bigger house and they had found the one they wanted, but it caused him to go
to a different school. We were not old enough to have phones so we didn't stay in contact very
well and it caused us to fall out. That left the neighbourhood to me and Kaidon against the other
kids who wandered around. Kaidon then moved away in sixth grade but by then we both had
phones and we kept in contact. We are still friends to this day.
