NOTES
DIRECTOR OF BAHAGIAN KEMAHIRAN DAN TEKNIKAL MARA

In the name of Allah S.W.T. the Most Gracious and Most Compassionate. Our thank to
Allah SWT we finally manage to publish this detailed syllabus to compliment and
expedite our curriculum and syllabus implementation that has been adopted in July
2012.

A standardized controlled mechanism is needed in order to implement a uniform
Technical & Vocational Educational Programmes in our centers. Hence, this book is
published as a document support that needs to be used with the current syllabus. This
book has been written with the somewhat ambitious goal that all our educators - IKM
and KKTM lecturers - gain an appreciation on how important a detailed syllabus is in
shaping our educational outcomes, and begin to take concrete steps towards
maximizing student learning by implementing it in their Teaching and Learning activities.

Efforts made by the Curriculum Unit to publish this book is seen as a positive step in
assuring the quality of knowledge delivered to the students. We hope with this book, the
quality of knowledge delivered is uniformed in all aspects of the content instructions.
Our educators should make this book as a compulsory reference when making any
Teaching & Learning activities. Besides that, all administrative centers should make this
book as a reference in class monitoring.

The use of this book should not be taken lightly by our educators so that our teaching
quality can be regulated in our centers. By doing this, it will give great impact on our
students who will be seeking for jobs in the industrial areas. Futhermore, by having
uniformed syllabus, it will increase the industries confidence in hiring our students
knowing that we produce knowledgeable and skillful graduates. My hope is that all
parties will give their full support and commitment in upgrading our Teaching & Learning
qualities.

With this I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude and thanks to those who are
involved in making the publication of this book possible.
