SUMMER 2021
Editors Letter
“And so with the sunshine and the great bursts of leaves growing on the trees, just as things grow in fast movies, I had the familiar conviction that life was beginning over again with the summer.” ----F. Scott Fitzgerald, the Great Gatsby
I will not ask any of you which season brings you the most joy as I undoubtedly know the response. Do not misunderstand me - I know spring is a tough act to follow, but summer is the reason
We endure the long months of winter. I feel I can actually touch the summer sky on a very hot June or July afternoon. I find summer to be the season where I am freed by any emotional or physical clutter. I sit, take notes, make lists, feel inspired & rejuvenated, make plans, carry out plans, and feel light, so light that I can conquer all fears and insecurities that surround me.
As editor-in-chief of the 4SEASONS Fashion Magazine, I am in charge of writing and editing, but what I happen to accumulate, during my inter- views and conversations, is truly immeasurable. While conversing with Lindita Bimi, I felt I had known her all my life - the passion exuding from her voice, gestures, and facial expressions were a clear indication that she is ready to be herself, to fight for herself, and others. The Summer Issue will allow you to be fully inspired by several other individuals as well, passionate humans that are entrepreneurial, philanthropic, visionaries, im- mensely hardworking, and internationally praised. Get to know Eni Lena, the famous makeup Alba- nian Artist, the beautiful and purposeful jewelry from Vajzë, classes on Face Yoga from the talented and well-rounded Elisabeta Gjonpali, and every- thing this Summer Issue, 2021 has to offer. Do
not hesitate to let us know what you think, what inspires you, and feel free to bring forth any opin- ions or suggestions.
Enjoy this summer, be as productive as you can possibly be, and reach your highest potential.

Eni was attracted to the world of paintings,
a world that transported her directly to the world of makeup when she was only 19 years old. She manages to make all her clients look “as pretty as a painting.” Top Channel, a TV station in Albania, offered her the first oppor- tunities in the world of makeup and now she is a Top Artist, truly.
Eni, this miracle artist of makeup is also a devoted parent - she never misses an opportu- nity to instill all her values to her children and one main mantra she goes by is: “You reap what you sow.” What has Eni sowed through- out the years? The answer is simple: love,
dedication, persistence, motivation, determi- nation, creativity, desires, and dreams. The results? They are stupendous.
Eni Lena might have become a rather intimi- dating personality due to her work ethic and outstanding results; however, her perspective on life is simple and her approach subtle and humble.
She does not hesitate to provide a few tips pro bono for everyone:
• Always have a mascara or lipstick in your purse - a lipstick enhances your smile and the mascara makes your eye-look more intent and attractive.
• Always know the occasion prior to apply- ing makeup - if you are unaware of the event attire, you might make the mistake of wearing heavy makeup up or the opposite.
Eni Lena has a dream to eventually create her own line of cosmetics as this will definitely crown her success, worth two decades of hard labor and love. She works while she dreams and dreams while she works. Eni is in the business of enhancing self-esteem, instilling confidence, and sowing seeds of success everywhere.

We live in an age of mass culture, reality shows, and instant connection with the world. Re- ality shows are definitely amusing and fascinating; the audiences are immediately gripped by the participants that are confronted by unusual situations. These reality shows are quite the epitome of democracy, freedom of speech, and they can teach and broaden our personal experience. Lindita Bimi, an immigrant living in Italy, as an esthetician, saw a window of opportunity when she found out that Albania was hosting a reality show named “Perputhen” which translates into “Matched.” Lindita, an astute woman, decided to keep the informa- tion of the application secret until she received news that she was accepted. Over forty, fierce, a Lioness, divorced, a businesswoman, she made an executive decision of “putting herself out there” and truly hoping to find a true match for herself. She shared the news with one of her sons who lives in Germany and he fully supports his mom in her decision as he is highly aware of his mother’s values. Lindita’s parents, even though traditional, were able to somewhat accept their daughter’s decision - her father smiled and then got irate; mom was in shock when she saw Lindita on the wide screen where she is used to seeing her favorite Telenovela characters.
Lindita Bimi is traditional and modern; she respects her elders, but she makes her hap- piness a priority. She is fully cognizant of the prejudice circumventing women that have strong opinions, who fight for injustice, those who love tattoos, and women who are di- vorced, but she carries a powerful message with her, wherever she goes. She calls women
over 40 “girls” as according to her,
40 is the most coveted age and she
hopes that prejudice completely
disappears one day. She sincerely
wants women to come out of their
‘hiding’ place, to find the strength
that they already possess, and not
to fear anything. This message is
close to her heart as she struggled
with what people thought of her for
years, but now she is full of joy and
wants to share her journey with the world because everyone deserves all the chances they can get. She knows how to take care of herself - apply beautiful lipstick on your lips and smile, keep positive affirma- tions at hand because words have power.
Lindita is the same person she was before the spotlight, with the slight change that everyone recognizes her wherever she goes. She has an immense following on Instagram and every single post grabs her followers’ attention with beautiful make-up, artistically and pro- fessionally applied by Eni Lena, and stylish clothes that make Lindita radiate - she does not look her age at all. She is loved not just for her looks and make-up, but for her exuberant personality on TV – she is always herself and the audiences love her brutal honesty. They relate and support her all the way.
Lindita and other women on the show are breaking immense barriers in Albania and beyond by simply showing themselves in front of every- one with their strength, insecurities, vulnerability, hopes, and dreams for the future. Taboo topics are difficult to confront, but if Lindita is inspiring thousands of people with her determined ideas, matters can take a more positive and less judgmental direction, soon.

Teenagers are extremely conscious about how they
look and often obsess over details that adults
disregard as important. They do not dress up in the
same way that we do. Some teenagers’
self-consciousness generates a horror of drawing E too much attention to themselves. As a result, they
go for the “not-looking-very-dressed-up” look. Others enjoy getting all the attention they get and will wear just about anything to get it.
The clothes we choose reflect our mood and style.
They, in some way, also reflect one’s overall
confidence. A person’s confidence level significantly L affects how other people perceive and respond to
them.
Teenagers are probably the most fashion-conscious
humans on earth. Fashion and image go hand in
hand and both have a huge impact on a teenager’s
lifestyle. To them, fashion is incredibly important I because it’s a way of showing the world who they
are or who they want to be. Different teenagers have different personalities and for this reason, there exist clothes in different styles, sizes, colors, and fabrics.
As people grow up, they form their sense of self
through the clothes that they wear. Teenagers use S fashion as a route to express themselves as well as
their affiliations, gain social status and bond with
their peers.
The adolescence phase is marked by the search for a
personal identity and what adolescents wear plays a
huge role in forging that identity. Teenagers express
themselves through clothes and hairstyles. What a A teenager choose to wear is a way of individuating
themselves and demonstrating how they want the world to see them. However, with pleasant alternatives and a good choice of wardrobe, teenag- ers can be made to choose their clothing wisely.

The global quarantine motivated me to ar-
tistically work with resin; I have always had a
passion for painting, since I was very young,
and returning to an old passion by adding a
new one was definitely suitable. I have been
intensely working with tables, clocks, kitchen accessories, paintings, jewelry, etc.
Creating unique resin pieces is something special and beautiful. When I started my online business, I initially started promoting a few paintings, but when I saw the demand increasing along with financial rewards, I decided to entirely focus on this art business and also dedicate more time to my family. Like any other business, this line of work requires investment initially as Res-
in Art can be very cost- ly. When I started Res- in Art, the world was closed and it was very difficult to secure the raw material, but when I got the resin, the first work I did was a resin painting; afterwards, with circumstantial sil- icone I started to create shapes where I utilized the res-
in in works like trays or clocks. There are end- less ideas on the internet for resin creations, but it is important to create your own style in this ar- tistic field.

I personally find myself working with sea designs and the combination of warm colors. I would advise artists to use resin in their paintings, as it not only gives paintings special radiance, but also provides permanent protection. I also advise new artists who want to try it for the first time to start with small art works such as jewelry, so that the cost is not high initially. Today I am followed by almost 10 thousand people on Instagram and I have clients who, after receiving their orders, look forward to launching new art works. We have expanded to a larger studio and I wish that in the near future I get to open my gallery with resin works and eventually offer resin educational courses.
I am at times faced with obstacles and challenges; I am committed to my family, but there are times when the order is delayed longer than is needed, or when I am overwhelmed with orders and I am forced to cancel some; there are also moments when resin works are required identically by clients and I just cannot fulfill the order as I believe every customer should have a unique piece. The Albanian market is also a
challenge as my art pieces are luxurious and, and finding customers
who can appreciate and afford this art can be a massive task.
Despite everything, I am living my dream. I create pieces that give me pleasure and help ‘remove the dust of daily life from the soul’ Every handmade art work is a treasure for every person who owns it - it is something unique that is handmade only once, and it is lucky to own something that no one in the world possesses. I am happy and definitely blessed in every possible way.

all relationships based on healthy communication are bound to last longer. Life certainly faces us with challenges and surprises; howev- er, she always refers to principle Ahisma in Yoga ( do not harm) and being in constant contact with nature, yoga, athletic activities like boxing, and dancing, helps her channel and eliminate negative en- ergy. Yoga according to Elisabeta:
“Yoga is a lifestyle choice and via yoga, a balance of body, mind, and soul is reached. All genders can benefit. Face yoga is a new concept presented in Albania and there are challenges along the way, but it has been welcomed
by women and men alike. Face Yoga is natural, and via a specific technique, it helps tone the facial muscles and also reduces wrin- kles. Face yoga is effective for both mental and physical health. Healthy food, physical activity, and a positive mindset, if imple- mented on a daily basis, become the best investment in your life.”
Elisabeta’s Aspirations:
Elisabeta intends to open a Retreat Center (Elisabeta Bal- ance), a project first of its kind in Albania - a social center located in one of the most beautiful loca- tions in Albania and its purpose will be treating people with pain and depression. People will be able to connect with nature - no social media or phones will be allowed and physical activities will be a significant part of the program. The project is in its early stages - she will certainly need an entire crew of professionals. She is grateful to her spouse and family for allowing her to
be free and make wise choices; she humbly admits they are the reason that she has reached the perfect balance of body, mind, and soul.
Elisabeta’s Message:
“Invest in yourself - it is not considered egoism but love
for your own temple. Be grate- ful daily for all opportunities presented to you. Some journeys with some people may end, but your journey will continue, so be kind and fulfilling to your- self. Love yourself, your body, mind, and soul and you shall be complete. It is never late to start loving yourself.”

Simplicity
is Nature’s Beauty
that attracts the audiences; in the beginning though, it was hard for several boutiques that require my services to understand what I truly wanted.... Anyone can be inspired by simple, casual, and comfortable outfits. My name and image are im- portant and I strive to improve.
Migena Mendez: You have a significant amount of loyal follow- ers - has Social Media made you more confident? Have you had to make big family sacrifices on be- half of your professional life?
Linda Dido: Initially, I was ea- ger to be appreciated, liked, loved, but now I am my own person and feel quite confident in my style and values.
Migena Mendez: What does the future hold for you Linda?
Linda Dido: I get up at times and feel the stress, but quickly remem- ber how passionate I am about what I do and continue posting and mod- eling, and if there are people that get in the way with negative vibes and energy, I simply block them. As far as sacrifices are concerned. I had to make a few where I need- ed to attend events without my son, but he is never alone as I have peo- ple that help me constantly.
Migena Mendez: Thank you for your refreshing candor...any last thoughts?
Linda Dido: One last thought, a funny one: Instagram is my biggest inspiration and even when I turn 90 years old, I will still be posting trendy clothes and stylish outfits. (big smile follows)
“Pick the day. Enjoy it – to the hilt - The day as it comes. People as they come... The past, I think has helped me appreciate the present – and I don’t want to spoil any of it by fret- ting about the future.” – Audrey Hepburn
Linda Dido, an Albanian Instagram Fashion Influencer / Blogger re- cently had a major setback in her personal life; her mother, whom she idolized, recently passed away. Linda recognizes the pain, the an- ger, disappointment, and gradually is creeping into the stage of Accep- tance. She was very kind to allow the 4SEASONS Magazine to interview her; her ravishing smile and attitude are extremely inspirational. Trials and tribulations make us who we are, and also remind us that social status does not make us immune to suffering. Enjoy the interview.
Migena Mendez: Who is Lin- da Dido? Please provide a short biographical description for the audiences that know you and the ones that will soon get the pleasure of being introduced to you via the 4SEASONS Magazine.
Linda Dido: I am definitely a simple person, the simplest you will ever meet. I am the only sister among four brothers - my mother was my muse of inspiration. She recently passed and it has been ex- tremely difficult returning to the social media world; I am sorry, I choke up when I think of it...
Migena Mendez: Please ac- cept my deepest sympathy on your mother’s loss. How has this suffer- ing and pain shaped and continues to shape you in how you perceive the world?
Linda Dido: My mother’s pas- sion, loss... I have so much to say about her, but I will carry on with remembering her as the most im- portant person in my life and also keeping in mind her life mantras. My mother and I were one soul, two bodies.
Life faces you with adversities con- stantly, and that is what happened to me; however, I now must worry about my son, my family, and my passion and that is what my mom would have wanted.
Migena Mendez: You are known for your modeling and fashion blog - what has brought this blog to life: inspiration, love for beauty, or fi- nancial rewards?
Linda Dido: Instagram is a pas- sion turned into a profession, but the financial rewards are definitely skimpy - I post and truly hope to inspire everyone that follows. The passion for modeling was born with me.
Migena Mendez: Linda, you were a lawyer for a few years and the shift from law to modeling is drastically different. Do you miss your old profession? Do you ever incorporate any jurisprudence into the modeling world?
Linda Dido: I surely do miss it as I invested and dedicated endless time and energy into it; the truth of the matter is that everyone thought I was not living my life dream when I became a lawyer - they all want- edmetobeamodelasthatwasthe only thing that put a smile on my face. One of my mother’s mantras was: “You do not have to do any- thing for others - you do what you do to purify your soul.”
Migena Mendez: What age group category do your followers belong to? Do you have to adjust your wardrobe choices according to your audience?
Linda Dido: This is an interesting question... My audience is above 30 and no, I do not like to change my style as it is exactly my style

HASHTAG
Valentina, of Albanian descent, was born in Montenegro and emigrated to the US at a young age. She initiated her career in Finance and Business, always working in the corporate world. While she has always loved art and expression through fashion and styling, she never thought she would design or be an entre- preneur. When styling her friends and family with her jewelry they were borrowing for their special occasions, she found that she loved putting looks together and giving them confidence. It then felt like the right business for her: curating a jewelry col- lection. This came so naturally to her, and even though she had never been a businesswoman, she thrived in exploring this new art form. She took on learning how to make jewelry and work- ing with metal smiths. This is when Vajzë was founded; first with a sketch and finally with a complete elegant and sophisti- cated jewelry piece.
Vajzë was inspired by the women Valentina grew up with and the Albanian heritage, but soon blossomed into designs that empowered women globally, as she realized so many share sim- ilar values and qualities. Once launched, she continued to meet women from all over the world who shared these values and consequently expanded the Vajzë designs, by selling nationally and internationally.
While creating Vajzë was exciting with opportunities, there were also challenges with finding the right help to expand, con- stantly having to design new pieces and working through all the intricacies of a business. “Growing a business or a brand from the ground up will always come with challenges,” she says, “but you must keep going if you are passionate about your mission and love what you do daily – it is not about the end goal; you have to appreciate the journey as well for you to be successful and feel fulfilled.”
In addition to empowering through style and jewelry, Vajzë
also has a mission to give back to women and girls, through nonprofit organizations. Valentina is continuously looking for new organizations to work with on giving back. Past causes have included Detroit Phoenix Youth Center, Glam4Good, and Methodist Children’s Home in the US. Future plans for Vajzë include having pop ups globally and the full launch of her men’s line, Burrë (Man).

• A series of paintings named “The Town without Child- hood” portraying the Albanian cities of Gjirokastër and Berat on canvas.

artistic impression of the whole picture itself. So not only is vision pleasurable, but also the history the painting itself manifests.
The focus of artistic feeling and ex- pression is no longer centralized on religious ideals, mysteries, or my- thologies, but it is focused on the aspects of human life. This painting belongs to contemporary realism. Nature and laws of physics do not speak about division. They exclude it. Therefore, communicating with us, creatures of different species, that division doesn’t exist. And time tries to move forward in the same situation, moving around by making circles as the ancient city on the artistic cycle of “The Town without Childhood,” from Princess Argyro to a dark Ottoman era and subsequently, to post-communist times - Gjirokastra or Argyrocas- tron is invoked in this memorial painting.
We travel through the city by en- tering the “oil on canvas”, walking barefoot on the rough stony roads.
“ Quantum in se est” - “For as much as he finds himself in her”: as Spinoza finds the nature of affection, the relationship between the piece of art and the audience. The relation- ship that brings the transformation of the subject. This is the main rea- son art cannot survive without eth- ics. Spinoza further explains for as much as he finds himself in her ev- erything tries to insist on her being - as much as the artist gives of himself in the painting.
In his work, his long career is met, together with his temperance and ideals. Faithfulness to an ideal is very important to the world of art, perseverance through all manners and techniques to reach the goal the artist set before himself.
