1.0 INTRODUCTION

Mandarin is one of the languages that is often used in Malaysia.
Nowadays, usage of Mandarin had increased in many sectors especially
in business sector. Many non-Chinese people are learning basic
Mandarin to succeed in business. By mastering the Mandarin language,
Malaysians can communicate more easily with each other, especially
the Chinese people. Not only that, Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk
Seri Najib Tun Razak once emphasized that communication plays an
important role in building relationship and skills will facilitate efforts
towards progress of this country. Therefore, the emphasis on learning
Mandarin cannot be taken lightly because it can manifest various
positive impacts. In this COVID-19 pandemic situation, teachers and
students were adopted to e-learning. We’re publishing this mandarin e-
magazine to attract more individuals to learn Mandarin. This happens
because e-magazines easier for everyone to read it wherever they are.
Last but not least, e-magazines too can reduce usage of paper.

2.0 ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
First and foremost, we would like praise and thank God because with
his abundant grace we were able to accomplish our task in the form of
this e-magazine successfully even though we were faced some
obstacles. At the same time, we would like to express our deepest
appreciation and thanks to Mrs. Ng Pei Pei, our lovely Mandarin
lecturer, for her guidance and encouragement throughout this
assignment. Not forgotten to thank our parents who always pray for
our success in learning. As a team leader, I need to thank my
teammates who gave cooperation and strong support to complete this
task. Lastly, we hope that this e-magazine can be used as a reference
for individuals who want to learn Mandarin more easily.

3.0 Objectives
a) Stating various vocabulary in Mandarin with translation.
b) Listing examples of sentences that can be used in real-life
situations.
c) Creating an e-magazine that can help new students to get to
know Mandarin better.
d) Stimulate students interest in learning foreign languages more
easily through Internet.
e) Help improve speaking, reading and writing skills in Mandarin.

我们必须喝八杯水才能保持身体健康。
Wǒmen bìxū hē bā bēi shuǐ cáinéng bǎochí shēntǐ jiànkāng.

We must drink eight glasses of water every day to keep our
body healthy.

爱玲总是在上班前做早餐。
Ài líng zǒng shì zài shàngbān qián zuò zǎocān.
Ai Ling always makes breakfast before she goes to work.

鲁迪下午茶时间喝了热狗和咖啡。

5.0 CONCLUSION

In a nutshell, this e-magazine makes everybody able to
learn about food and its related vocabularies easily in
Mandarin with English translation. Vocabulary helps
readers to gain a new level of maturity because of the
increased knowledge. Secondly, you’ll learn short and
easy sentences in Mandarin which they can use in their
daily life. In addition, you’ll learn about having a simple
conversation in Mandarin. Because of this, they can
communicate easily in Mandarin with others. By
learning Mandarin, you can get to know about Chinese
culture, especially about their food. Last but not least,
Studies have been done on this, which means learning
Chinese takes intensive brainpower. English speakers
use the left temporal lobe. Mandarin speakers use both!
In addition to using both sides of your temporal lobe,
bilingual people are better at prioritising and multitasking
than monolingual people.
